Dad's at work
Brother is yelling
Over the simplest homework that he doesn't understand
Mom yells back
They both say words that are better left unwritten
Me who was sitting silently in a corner
Runs upstairs
Neither notices
Collapse on my bed
Can't stop the tears from falling
Choking down a sob
Everyone in this family
Mom
Dad
Brother
Me
We need help
I need help
I stay in my room
On my phone
Under the blankets
Coming downstairs to say goodnight to Mom
I notice the circles under her eyes
Does she notice mine
She rubs her eyes
And I feel guilty
For not realizing
How tired we both are
Not just me
Do I cause some of that
Like she does to me
