A being, dressed in a sea blue robe, riding atop a horse as black as night approaches the gates of Rivendell.
"Halt who goes there?" calls out an elven guard, "Answer with peace and no harm will come to you traveller."
"Namárië, I come peacefully to join the council," the being replies as they arrive at the gates and dismount. On a closer look they appear to be a human given their height and build.
The guard at the gate comes towards the stranger with one hand resting upon his weapon. "It has been said that all of those invited arrived the day before last. State your name traveller and whose protection you harbour under that you have arrived here tonight with knowledge of this secret council."
The being pauses, almost as if hurt or confused by the reception. "They call me Thenna. I come from the East as an ambassador from the Blue Istari," they reach into their saddle bag to pull out a letter, "Here is the letter from Olórin, he called for aid and council from the wizards."
The elf stumbled as they reach out to grab the letter, suprised by the mention of the Blue Wizards that had not been heard from in centuries. They took a brief look at the letter recognizing Mithrandir's writing and beckoned to the traveller, "Come, I will take you to Lord Elrond's meeting room he is currently there seeking council with Mithrandir. I am sure they will want to meet you. Your horse will be well taken care of."
Thenna follows the guard until they come to an ornate doorway. Knocking on the door, the guard calls out to Lord Elrond about the visitor.
"Welcome," Lord Elrond speaks to Thenna as they enter the room, "It has been long since we have heard from the wizards of the East. What brings you here?"
Dropping their hood and removing his cloak Thenna introduces himself, "I am called Thenna and come as an ambassador for Alatar and Pallando. They received Olórin's letter asking for information surrounding the one ring and the information regarding the council that is taking place. The information they have they did not trust to write down and sent me instead."
Elrond and Gandalf looked at the figure in front of them. Thenna stood tall, dressed in a beautiful navy blue gown that flowed out at the bottom, it was lined with a white trim and paired with a white and golden patterned corset. Their eyes trailed up to the head of the ambassador and their they were stunned by the long hair pulled back in a bun to reveal, the absence of any ears.
Eventually Gandalf spook, "It is a pleasure to meet you Lady Thenna. I do not mean to be offensive, however in my many years of travelling I have never come across someone quite like you."
Thenna coughed awkwardly dropping his head, "Well, umm, it's kind of hard to explain although I would ask that you call me Lord Thenna if you must use a title, however Thenna is just fine. The dress is more of a fashion choice then a gender declaration, I just can never quite help myself and my fathers never seemed to questions it..."
"Fathers!?!" Elrond choked out.
"Ahh yes," Thenna replied awkwardly, eyes wandering around the room as he shifted his feet. "So, you see, Alator and Pallinor decided one day to test their knowledge by creating a new being. That being became me. It's quite unusual I know, they formed me from clay, water, and fire and I came out just like this. They raised me in the east, taught me everything I know, well the entwives taught me some stuff too. Oh, oh and the things on the side of my head, or lack there of, I suppose you are wondering about. Yeah, for all their brains and knowledge they managed to forget them, what are they called again? People use them for hearing and stuff?"
Gandalf nodded knowingly as that seemed like the wizards he knew. Meanwhile Elrond appeared dumbstruck not quite what to make of this before snapping back into his leader state of mind.
"Well," Elrond begins, "you must have travelled far and long to get here tonight, I will have someone show you to your room and retrieve you for the council tomorrow. The meeting will start around midday, please feel free to explore and wander in the meantime if you need any help everyone is very helpful, although I can't speak for the dwarves." He grumbles that last part, before continuing, "If you need anything else feel free to ask, they will bring you some fresh clothes in the morning as I'm sure your dress is soiled," He pauses for a second as if unsure of his next words, "Would you desire a new dress or something more traditional for men?"
Thenna winces a little at those last words, "If you don't mind, I would love a dress. Thank you for your generosity Lord Elrond. Olórin it was an honour to meet you tonight, if it is not a trouble I would appreciate a chance to speak with you in the morning about the information from my fathers?"
