If We Have Each Other

Frustrated daniel looked down at the feet at the three plates he had just dropped the unfinished food now all over his shoes.

The man sighed looking over his shoulder at the clock hanging on the wall. "Four more hours" he mumbled to himself crouching down and gathering the plates that luckily did not break. Daniel gently placed the dirty dishes in the sink before going to get a mop to clean up his mess. After mopping up the mess he went back to the sinks pulling his shoes off and setting them on the counter grabbing a damp rag.

Daniel cleaned all the food and muck off of his shoes he needed to keep these shoes clean he didnt have enough money to buy more he barely had enough for food hence why hes working in a diner all day everyday thats how he got food for him and his young son rarely with the moeny he made but from scrapes and things so everynight he would bring him and his baby home food or his son would come to the small diner and slip in the back.

Daniel struggled to make money he was living off of kind peoples tips he has been working everyday of his life since he was nineteen years old for the bare minimum.

When daniel was nineteen he got pregnant the babies father left him and his parents kicked him out after buying him an apartment they wanted nothing to do with his baby. He tried to be positive about it all but all he needed was his baby to survive he stills lives in that small apartment but yet hes still trying to look at his life positively he knew one day it would get better, one day he wont have to work in a small diner, one day he can live in a bigger house, one day him and his son will have their own rooms, one day he could have more than one pair of shoes or atlast a good pair of shoes, and so much more he couldnt wait for his fantasies to come true even though he was slowly loosing hope.
