THE DINER WASN'T PARTICULARLY BUSY NEXT WEDNESDAY NIGHT, save for Calliope and her friends. Since it was her night off from both work and training, Kim and Quil had both expressed their dislike in the fact that they hadn't had much time to spend with Callie lately. And so, it was decided that they'd all go to the diner together― Callie, Embry, Quil and Jake were already there. Kim, Jared and Paul  were supposed to be on their way, once the latter two finished their patrols and passed things off to Sam and Leah. For now, though, it was just the four of them; the fearsome foursome, as Billy used to call them when they were kids― seeing as how whenever they were all together, they usually were up to no good.

Tonight, surprisingly, was probably the most mundane night any of them had had in the past six months. An easy smile settled on Callie's face as she sat next to Embry at the big table Cora had put together for their group. Jake and Quil sat across from them, bickering with Embry about who'd be able to eat the most food out of the three of them. "All I'm saying is that I've always been able to out-eat you fools, even before I phased," Embry said confidently.

"We let you win out of pity," Quil retorted, ducking quickly to avoid Embry's hand as he attempted to smack the boy upside his head. "Didn't we, Jake?"

Jake sucked in a breath, dramatically releasing it as he slowly nodded his head. "We did," he agreed with Quil, his voice full of fake pity as he looked at Embry. "I really hate that you had to find out this way, Em. We just felt so bad that you sucked at everything, so―"

"Ah, give it up, you two," Callie intervened with a laugh. "Embry ate both of you under the table every single time, and you know it."

Embry nodded proudly, gesturing toward the brunette sitting beside him. "Told you so," he said to Jake and Quil with a smirk. He thought for a moment, then leaned back in his seat. "Do you think I'll get voted for Person with the Biggest Appetite for our senior yearbook next year?"

Quil's eyebrows rose as he snorted before taking a drink of his soda. "I don't think that's a category, man."

"Yeah, they usually do things like Best Smile, or Most Sarcastic, or Most Likely to Succeed," Calliope informed Embry with an amused expression on her face. She watched as he took a handful of her french fries and shoved them all in his mouth at once. "Although, if that was a category, I do think they'd give it to you."

"Thanks, C," Embry said around a mouthful of fries. A piece of one flew out of his mouth an hit Callie's face, causing her to cringe and wipe it off with a napkin as she and the boys laughed about it. Embry swallowed his food and sheepishly said, "Sorry." Callie merely smiled and shrugged it off― it wasn't the first time something like that had happened, and she sincerely doubted that it would be the last.

"Speaking of senior year," Quil spoke up again, taking the conversation down a different route, "Have any of you guys decided what you're going to do for college?"
