Shard flew into a small cave at the edge of the mountain, the home of the dragon's territory. He landed at the edge lowering his head before walking in. At the back of the dark space, a grey and black dragon were lying on the ground licking a small grey and white body.
" Has he hatched Obsidian? " Shard asked. She nodded her head before standing up and carrying the dragonet over to where Shard was sitting. She set him down before rubbing her head on top of his. The little dragon looked up at them and coughed a small burst of ice that shot out hitting Shard on the foot.
"I see he takes after his father when it comes to ability." She told him. Licking his head once more before sitting down.
"But he has his mother's looks. What are we going to name him? I was thinking Glacier."
"I agree. We should take him to meet my brother and Starshine." She told Shard. He nodded and picked up Glacier before running and taking off into the sky. Obsidian followed him. When they reached the doors to the gate a large grey dragon came forward.
"Obsidian and Shard have you come to present your son to Starshine cause she is waiting for you." He told them. They went to a large room where a large black and purple dragon was standing in the back.
"Welcome Shard and Obsidian I see you have come to show me your dragonet. " Starshine mumbled. She bent her massive head down to look at Glacier. She picked him up with a massive paw and looked him over. Lifting his wings to make sure they were intact. After fully looking him over she put him down and lifted her head to look at Shard and Obsidian. Her expression, very serious.
" How many dragons know about you two and Glacier."
"Just us, Granite and you. Why"
"Mix breeding is very forbidden. You must have a different Ice dragon look over him."
"Yes, we will give him to Icebreaker, "Shard told her. She nodded and he walked out over to where a good-sized ice dragon was standing. Shard picked Glacier up and dropped him at her claws. She looked at Shard before looking at Glacier.
"What is this Shard" Icebreaker asked.
"He is my son and I was wondering if you could take care of him. His mother does not want him and was going to leave him to die." Shard told her. She nodded and wrapped her large spiky tail around him. Starshine was standing behind Shard listening.
"Thank you Icebreaker I know you will raise him to be a strong fighter."
