Beyond the vast lands is a land of frigid glaciers and snow. Within that area there lives a young women known to her villagers as Mare. She is a fierce warrior with a peryton named Aria at her side. Together they must train to slay the threatening monsters that cross their path, while discovering new lands, meeting new friends and foes, and slaying more monsters.

Long ago, there was a great volcano that the fire clan called home. Everything was well, until one unlucky day. The ice clan needed a home, and when they saw a volcano, they thought it would be perfect; they could transform it into a huge glacier. When the fire clan saw the ice clan coming to 'invade', they quickly fled, not being spotted by the ice clan. They had stolen the volcano and turned it into a mountain, still oblivious to the fact that the fire clan owned the land. Years later, the ice clan was forced to flee, due to the fire clan launching random attacks at random times. None of the clans know each other's side of the story, and due to misunderstanding, a great war has risen.
