"I'm gonna miss you." Carol wrapped Hermione in a hug. The weekend was finally over and so was the reunion. Hermione and the rest of her wizarding family stood in the lobby giving their goodbyes to her muggle family.
She was surprised that Arthur had relatively behaved. He had only asked a few questions which had drawn curious stares out of her aunts, uncles, and cousins, but had drawn chuckles out of her grandparents.
"I'll miss you too." She told her cousin.
Uncle Thomas and aunt Jackie gave her a quick hug before following Carol out to the car. Her cousin Billy and his two sons waved bye to her before inviting her, Draco, and the children out for a barbecue before summer ended. Soon, the only muggles left were her parents and grandparents.
Her mum wrapped her in a tight hug. "Remember to visit next weekend." Her mum then turned to Molly and Narcissa. "It was fun to see you two again."
Molly sniffled back her tears and wrapped Jean up in a hug, forcing Narcissa to join. "We should hang out more often, the three of us. We mothers should stick together."
Jean smiled genuinely. "I would love that."
Narcissa flapped her decorative fan and humphed, though a warm smile was painted on her lips. "I know a great tea place."
Her mum and dad left soon after. Hermione looked over and saw her grandfather push himself up off of one of the lobby couches. Her grandmother whisked her into a hug. "Don't be embarrassed to send us a letter through an owl. It's much quicker than the postal service."
Hermione's mouth flopped open and she could see the rest of her wizarding family looking just as confused. Her grandmother chuckled, then spoke as if she wasn't revealing a great secret. "My father was a wizard too, you know."
Her grandfather joined them then and wrapped an arm around his wife lovingly. "We had always hoped that it would run in the family." He gave her and the wizards behind her a warm, yet slightly devious grin. "It must be wonderful to be able to perform magic." He leaned down and pinched Rose's cheek. "Don't cause too much trouble in school or to young Scorpius." He winked to her.
Hermione shook her head in disbelief. "I can't believe you guys never told me."
Her grandmother chuckled. "We wanted to surprise you, but it became rather difficult to see you over the years."
Her heart clinched at her grandmother's words. "I'm so sorry. I'll try to owl and visit more often."
Her grandmother leaned in to whisper in her ear. "Visiting can wait a few months. Carol shared a little bit of gossip with me." Her grandmother pulled away with a wink. Hermione felt her face flush then heat up as a blush came on.
"What did your grandmother say to you?" Draco asked once her grandparents had left.
Hermione grabbed his hand and led him to the basement. "I'll tell you later."
"You seem to have a lot to tell me." Draco smirked.
Narcissa was the first to leave followed by Molly and Arthur. Rose grabbed Scorpius's hand and gave it a squeeze before letting go. "We're going to head to Diagon Alley to grab our school supplies," she informed them.
"Okay, just don't get into too much trouble and try not to make Scorpius spend all day waiting on you in the library."
Rose scowled. "I'm not that bad, mum." There was a crackle and soon Rose was gone.
"I'll try to have her back by eight." Scorpius grabbed a handful of floo powder before quickly following after Rose. "Diagon Alley!"
Draco stepped up next. "I expect a conversation when we get home." He smirked at her while wiggling his eyebrows. She stifled a laugh and settled with shaking her head. "Malfoy Manor!"
Hermione watched as he disappeared. "It will definitely be an interesting conversation." She muttered to herself. She grabbed a handful of the green powder and threw it at her feet. "Malfoy Manor!"
She felt a twisting sensation overcome her and a slight pinch as she was transported from the P&Z Hotel to her home with Draco. She stepped out and came to a stop on unsteady feet as nausea began to fill her, the nasty feeling bubbling up into her throat. She doubled over and fanned herself, trying not to lose the contents in her stomach.
"You've been getting sick an awful lot lately." Draco chastised as he grabbed her hand and led her to the couch.
This was it. It was finally time to tell him what she had discovered over the weekend. "Well, pregnancy will do that to you," she spoke casually, as if she hadn't just revealed a big piece of news.
Draco's hand fell from her wrist and he looked at her with wide gray eyes. "What did you say?" He asked, not completely registering her words.
Hermione gave him a small, shaky smile. "You're going to be a father...again."
Draco's eyes widened even further and before she had a chance to move away or to mumble something, he pulled her into a hug. "I'm going to be a father. I'm going to be a father!" Hermione laughed at his excited state. It was surprising and wonderful at the same time to see Draco in such a shocked and excited state. She couldn't wait to see what kind of father he was around newborns, since she hadn't seen how he had acted when Scorpius was born. Hermione, had the feeling that he would be wonderful. She also knew of two babysitters who could help out during the summer to help give them some practice and first hand experience in dealing with babies. Suddenly, she couldn't wait for this child to be born.
