Dione stared at the naked form standing rigid before her. A thin finger fluttered across the mark branding the slender pale length of her neck, lining the raw and broken skin. Her flaring violet eyes flickered across the black intricately designed tail of a King Cobra as it hissed in content at her soft touch, fangs protruding from the confines of her neck. Startled, Dione’s eyes fluttered, her eyes flashing a spark of gray. She gently pulled away her finger, staring at the trickle of blood slowly trailing down the length of her finger and settling at the center of her palm. She looked back up at the woman standing across from her, dread and fear bubbling at the pits of her stomach as she stared at the tattoo adorning her neck.
It was the mark of a rouge Orkai, the mark of Alaricus Benedictus. Her husband.
