Callum's P.O.V

When somebody perks my interest it is hard for me to not be determined to get them, and for me that every person that I found I could not get my mind off was Nathan. I never knew the qualities that I looked for in a guy, because I tried to deny that I was even interested in them in the first place, but I knew what I looked for in a girl, hot and nice but none of them had lived up to my expectations. Often, the girls were just bratty and too full of themselves for me to even be remotely interested in them. However, as soon as he peaked my interest I consider the fact that I could possibly be bisexual, coming to the conclusion that I definitely was when only sinful thoughts ran through my mind anytime that my thoughts strayed to Nathan.

His qualities shaped the qualities I was looking for in a guy because I wasn't looking for a guy, I wanted him to be my guy. His confidence to be himself, his hot muscles, the fact that he played sports but also seemed nerdy at the same time, they were all qualities that made him who he was. They were all qualities that made him perfect.

They were qualities that made me determined to be somebody he could be with, someone that had that same guts to do something bold and outrageous. someone, who wasn't afraid to ask a simple question because as the bad boy I have a reputation and nothing should scare me right? Bad boys are stereotyped to be fearless, an element I pride myself in being but my thoughts do not allow me to possess this quality. After all, when you are about to do something so outrageously stupid, something that you will probably be rejected and cause yourself a huge embarrassment over, how in the slightest could you not be scared shitless?

When you have to ask somebody something a lot of thoughts can plague your mind. It can cause so much worry as the thoughts just rake through your mind, wondering whether or not it will pan out the way you hoped or whether it would be something you miserably fail at. However, since Nathan had come out I constantly repeated a mantra in my head, do something more bold then you never would have done before. It is a mantra that I have constantly been repeating in my mind, and one that I plan to adhere to. It is why I need to breathe and not overthink the situation or the bold move that I am going to make. It's time to do that one thing that I never, ever thought I would do. It's time to ask out Nathan...

My hands tremble slightly as they linger on the cafeteria doors. I know I need to just throw open the doors and march in there with confidence but my thoughts once again plague me, the tremble of my hands showing my nervousness. I encourage myself to breathe, as I hold my head up high and tell myself it is either now or never.

With a deep breath, I throw open the cafeteria doors, the strength in my push causing the doors to collide with the wall, sending an echo through the cafeteria. If I didn't want everyone's attention on me my method was definitely not an effective way of doing it. The echo causes the whole cafeteria's eyes to turn to me, my reaction being that of a gulp as my throat begins to go dry. My eyes scan the cafeteria with my eyes landing on the one that I was desperately seeking, my strides instantly becoming quicker and the gazes of everyone's stares still focused on me. However, they drown into the background as I only have one point of focus, him.

I reach the table, Nathan's eyes still not lingering off his food. Man, this guy must seriously love his food, but I can't say I blame him.

"Bethany look who it is!" Mandy says, slightly squealing with excitement knowing how hooked Bethany has been on Callum for a while, and now he stands in front of their table. She glares at her, telling her to lower her voice but I can still hear their conversations, my eyes only flickering over them to a second, my ears almost thinking that I mistook her words as they seem to giggle 'His come to ask you out'. She wishes.

She coughs, turning my attention to her and off the person that I desperately wish would look away from his food for one second and notice I was stood in front of him.

"Come to ask me out have you?" Bethany asks, swinging her legs out to face me, a wide grin on her face as she twirls her hair in a flirtatious manner. I would scoff, but I don't really want to offend the sister of the guy I want to ask out. Noticing my lack of response she roles her eyes. "No need to get so tongue-tied, I don't bite." She winks at me, almost like she is suggesting something, something I know exactly what she is suggesting. It takes all my body power not to gag but I stand strong.

"Well, I'll kindly accept." She chuckles, throwing her hair behind her back. I lift my hand up to stop her, her expression suddenly became confused.

"Actually." I pause for effect, turning my attention back to Nathan, who has finally looked up from his food and noticed I'm stood before him, but who has now moved on from eating to drinking some water.

"I came to ask him." I say, pointing at Nathan just to make it extra clear for her. He looks up at me, his eyes going wide and him choking on his water. I wait for his response, whilst he has a mild coughing fit wishing he would just stop dying for one second and answer me.

"Wait, what?" He asks, his shock evident in his tone. I come round to him, leaning closer to his face, him shifting uncomfortably making me realise how close in proximity we are, he must be able to feel my breath on him like I could feel his on mine. Gosh how much I wish I could kiss him, right here, right now. It might help if I got his answer first though, an unfortunate thing to need really.

"I wanted to ask you if you would go out with me?" He goes quiet and I eagerly await his response, my thoughts plaguing me once again as I question whether I have made the wrong decision or not.
