A/N: Although I wrote this for a project, I feel like a did pretty good on this one. Forgive me if this is sucky lol

"You know why I summoned you, yes?"
"I do, Ourtzen. Now tell me. Who is it this time?"
"I'm sure you'll enjoy this one." As the woman looked at him impatiently, Ourtzen inwardly sighed. "Beast traffickers."
"What?"
"Yes, beast traffickers. Nobles that beast traffic, specifically. My source said that they're meeting in the abandoned castle behind the woods tonight," Ourtzen said, "Be there. Now."
"N-Now?" the woman incredulously sputtered. All she had was a long dagger at the moment!
"Did I stutter? Now go! They're probably dealing right now!"
"You--you bastard!" she fumed.
Ourtzen laughed and made a shooing motion.
"Tch," she dissed as she transformed herself to a guise of a man and teleported to the abandoned castle.

::::('')::::

The woman always knew her bad luck was there. But did it have to come right when she was on a mission?! Presently, the woman was standing in a room full of beast trafficking nobles gawking at her. She felt like face palming. So much for stealth.
Suddenly, the room was in chaos. "What happened to the guards?! How incompetent!" a fat noble shouted. Another called for the guards. "No need for calling the guards! If we wait for them, by the time those incompetent guards come, we'll all be dead!"
"You're all going to be dead either way," the woman thought.

"I will just handle this myself, then!" the fat noble haughtily exclaimed. He grabbed the sword on the wall and charged at the woman. She immediately parried the sword easily with her dagger.

"By the way he weakly handles the sword, it's clear he's never held one before," she examined. The assassin took advantage of that fact and stabbed him. As he dropped to the ground, she assassinated the other traffickers with ease.

Covered in the traffickers blood splatters, she looked around the room. One of the dead beasts in particular reminded her of her pet, Blackie. Her body filled with rage. How dare they kill innocent beasts and have the galls to sell them? Ourtzen was right. She did enjoy her mission.

"What happened here?!" a guard's voice suddenly shouted. She rushed passed them as they were distracted. "Hey, get back here!" Sounds of the guards' feet pounding on the floor got her heart racing. She wondered where she was going, as she didn't know where the exit of the castle was.

"Faster! Catch that man!" The woman laughed and briskly ran from the guards that chased her. The young woman ran faster and turned a corner but abruptly stopped, as it was a dead end. "Kuso," she cursed.

The guards eventually caught up to the woman and cornered her. "There's no escaping now, fugitive. Just surrender peacefully, and we might consider giving you a quick death," one of the guards warned.
Silence followed. "Hey, are you listening?!" another guard shouted. She finally sighed and turned around. "Well boys, it was nice stretching my legs with you, and I hate to say this, but," she sighed again in feigned disappointment, "I'd rather spend my time doing something worthwhile," she smirked. The assassin teleported (she couldn't believe she didn't think of that until now), wisps of wind and light swirled around her body. "Bye," the woman said as she mock saluted the guards.

::::(*'︶'*)╯♡::::

As the assassin soundly snuck into her room, she let down her disguise and freshened up for bed. The young woman sighed with content. "Ah, that's much better. After all these years, I still can't get used to being in a man's body."

Leaning on her balcony, she closed her blue jeweled eyes, listening to the wind. The night told a story of being peacefully uneventful, much unlike her life. Peacefulness was something she envied. Being a princess and assassin, peace didn't come easy. Her stress levels were always high because of the paperwork during the day, and the killing in the night. The only times she has peace is when it's time for her to sleep, and when she spends time with her family and him.

"Back already? That was a quick job," a whispering voice beside her ear said as it broke the silence. The young woman jumped and in the blink of an eye, directed her dagger at the person's jugular. The man laughed, "Excited to see me, I see?"

The woman groaned and lowered the knife. "Don't do that! I almost killed you!"
"But you didn't," the man grinned. "Lucas, what are you doing here?," the woman sighed. Lucas raised an eyebrow. "What? Can't I visit you, Athanasia?"

"You know that's not what I meant. It's midnight, you're supposed to be sleeping," she said. "I know. But I felt the urge to do so with you," he nonchalantly commented. Athanasia flushed.

Lucas lazily strutted to her bed and laid down on his side. Athanasia followed after him and stood beside her bed.
"What are you doing?" she looked down at him laying on her bed. "What do you think I'm doing?" he gazed back at her. "You can't just lay down on a woman's bed! Especially mine!" she frustratedly said.

"What are you so worked up about? We did this a lot before," he furrowed his eyebrows.
"That was when we were children!!"
"Stop shouting! You're making my ears bleed," he grumbled. "Just lay down and relax. I'm sure you'll need it for tomorrow." Athanasia thought about the event that was taking place the next day. Her mother Diana, the Empress, was throwing the "Ball of the Century" for Athanasia's 18th birthday. She loved her mother dearly, but the thought of being the center of attention of those nobles that hid behind a smiling mask made her cringe and shudder with disgust. So yes, Athanasia was grateful for Lucas's presence. Just him being there made her feel like she could do anything.

Athanasia yelped as Lucas pulled her into bed, wrapping his arms around her. She immediately relaxed. His warm embrace was truly therapy. She reciprocated the act, and they stayed like that until sleep beckoned them into dreamland.

A/N: ...Never mind. It sucks ass. (。-_-。)
