being a girl isnt easy.
at all.
its not all butterflies and rainbows.
we are seen by society as less of people than men.
yet they still expect us to be
"perfect".
society wants girls to be pretty,
naive, useable, and exploitable.
girls and women are so much more than that.
we are the foundation of the world.
we know how to run a country.
we strive for equality,
yet we still are constantly shoved to the side.
there is a little thing called patriarchy.
it means that men are supposed to be:
strong,
the bread winners,
big and indomitable.
the women are supposed to cook, clean and tend to the children. we are the weak ones apparently.
patriarchy runs the united states, and many places around the world.
and being a girl sucks.
because we seem to have little power.
little rights.
little respect.
women are constantly objectified by the media, and assaulted and verbally sexually abused.
we are seen as toys to men.
a thing.
not a person,
but a thing to use and throw away.
women are more than that, but we never get the recognition.
overall,
being a woman sucks.
