Harry lays awake, thinking about the events that had taken place that day. He felt bad for rejecting Draco, but he wanted to take things slow, at least for now. He rolls over onto his right side, gazing out the window and looking over the Forbidden Forest. He sighs and sits up, grabbing the photo album full of photos of his parents, flipping through it to try and take his mind off Draco.
On the other side of the castle, Draco lays awake as well, holding back tears. He regretted asking, and felt bad for treating him poorly in the past. Draco tosses and turns, trying to get to sleep. It doesn't work so he gets out of bed and heads out to the common room, which is almost completely empty, having just a few students littered around. A few smile and wave towards him, and he returns a small smile, before looking at the ground and sighing a little. He sinks into an armchair by the flickering green fire, and stares into it, zoning out completely. His thoughts are racing at a million miles an hour, thinking over the events of today, previous years and what the future could be. He sighs in frustration and leans forward, gripping his hair in both hands, he lets out a quiet, strangled scream. A few students that linger look over at him, but decide it's best not to approach. Draco suddenly gets up, the speed causing him to become dizzy for a few seconds, before he leaves the common room and wanders around the castle for a bit, a certain black-haired, bespectacled boy in his thoughts.
Harry groaned as he dragged himself out of bed. It was a Monday, and he wasn't able to sleep at all the previous night. Rubbing his eyes, he wandered down to the Great Hall, not bothering to wait for Ron and Hermione. He was a bit anxious about potions, because he shared that class with Draco...
On the other side of the castle, Draco sleeps in, deciding to skip classes that day. He can't bear to face Harry in potions, but can't get the raven-haired boy off his mind. With a flushed face, he pulls out his sketchbook and draws Harry, a beautiful portrait that takes up the entire page, framing the parts of Harry he admires the most. he blushes deeply at the thought of giving Harry this drawing, and thinks that if they end up dating he will give it to him as a gift. He puts the book away under his bed and attempts to get a bit more sleep.
Harry drags himself to potions, dreading it but secretly hoping he sees the handsome Slytherin. He slips into his usual seat and waits for Ron Hermione (and honestly, Draco too.) As the class files in, Ron and Hermione sit at Harry's table while he is distracted, seemingly looking for something, or someone. Hermione lightly taps Harry's shoulder, trying to get his attention. He flinches a little, and turns to her. "What's up, Hermione?" She gives him a look, which he reads perfectly. "Oh.." He glances around the room again, looking for the pale Slytherin. "You're waiting for Draco, aren't you?" Hermione whispers so only Harry can hear. He just nods in response, and Hermione relaxes in her seat. Draco didn't show up. Harry was a bit worried now. Draco loves potions, he wouldn't miss it for the world. He's probably just sick. Harry thought to himself as the class was dismissed.
