Black and white.

It was all black and white.

And time consuming.

That's all Taehyung could see and had known. For 18 years, he had only known the colours black and white - with the payment of his life.

Although he had thought it was more of a dull grey colour.

Sighing, the young boy went back to filling out the orders for customers that had walked into the cafe in which he works at with his dear hyung; Namjoon.

Oh! And his soulmate Jin. They try not to rub in the fact that they can see in colour and can enjoy the wonders of how beautiful everything is around them.

They couldn't do that to Taehyung.

"So that would be a blueberry muffin with a hot chocolate for the lady and the lemon cheesecake with hot chocolate, whipped cream and marshmallows for the young man?" They both nodded, happy that Taehyung had got their orders right.

"So that is 5 minutes of your life, if you could place your watches on the pad." Taehyung had instructed, in which they followed and he watched as their payment of life decreased by 5 minutes each.

"I won't be a moment..." With that Taehyung placed the note pad back into his trousers and walked over to the front desk.

"Jackson hyung, I have an order of two chocos, one with whipped creams and squishies and one plain. Along that, one blueberry muffin and a lemon cheesecake!" Jackson popped his head around and nodded, "Gotcha!"

Taehyung once again sighed as he leaned against the counter, "What's up Tae?" Namjoon came from the office clearly tired from all of the paperwork, which is scattered everywhere, "Oh, nothing hyung."

"Why did you sigh TaeTae?" The young boy licked his lips and turned to Namjoon, "I'm sick of seeing things in black and white. Everything is so dull." Taehyung shook his head and laughed slightly, "It isn't that big of a deal hyung, I've coped for eighteen years pretty sure I can do it for another eighteen."

Taehyung walked away and walked over to Jackson to see if the orders done, "Jackson is it ready?" The named boy popped his head around and nodded, "Yeah, here you go bumpkin." Taehyung smiled and took the tray and began to walk over to the couple.

"Isn't it beautiful, the colours are beautiful. It is sad how many years we've missed out on..." The lady sighed as she held on to her soulmates hand. Taehyung's heart sunk and he just placed the tray on their table, "Enjoy your lunch." And took the tray away. 

The young boy placed the tray somewhere and walked past everyone, straight into the toilets. He had slammed the door and held his hair, looking into the mirror it was dull. He didn't know what colour his hair was or what colour his eyes were. He looked down at his hands and saw nothing but black and white.

A tear slipped down his cheek and landed on his hand, in which he quickly wiped away. "Don't cry... don't cry - just don't." He whispered to himself.

Meanwhile Namjoon and Jin looked down, they felt bad for Taehyung, they knew what it was like before they met one another. They felt that there was nothing to live for if they were only living in a black and white world.

"Do you think he is okay Joonie?" Namjoon shook his head, "I honestly don't know baby. After his brother and this soulmate thing, Taehyung will need time."

The bell rang on the door of the cafe and in walked their regular customer Hoseok, "Good morning Seok." Hoseok looked up from his phone and smiled, "Morning you two, is he here?" Namjoon nodded, "He is in the back."

"Yugyeom?" The said boy turned around and ran towards his soulmate, "Seokie!" They both ran and hugged one another like their lives depended on it.

"Have you heard from Gguk at all?" Yugyeom shook his head, "The poor boy stays in bed most of his days or goes out till he is black out drunk or he decides to sleep with multiple girls or boys." Hoseok sighs, "This getting out of hand."

Yugyeom nods in agreement, their situation sounds pretty similar to another except the other boy waits for his soul mate because he knows that somewhere out there, they'll soon arrive and be with him for life.
