Your POV

      'Maybe Forever Yours' I muttered.

"What was that Y/N?" Lauren asked. I looked up.

"Oh, nothing I'm just saying to myself that you're back and I'm really happy," I smiled.

'Nice going dumbass,' I thought. Suddenly, a man in a clean, fancy waiter suit came up to us.

"Hello ladies, what kind of drinks can I get you?" He asked.

"Let me just get the peppermint mocha frappe. You want anything Y/N?" Lauren said as she looked at me.

"I'll just get the one she's getting," I told him. He nodded and walked away. We sat there, looking out the window. She just came back, so what do I even ask her?

"So Lauren. How's the singing career of yours?" I said.

"It's going great. I mean a ton of traveling but it's nice to go somewhere you've never been to," Lauren fixed her hair as she said it.

     "How's your career?" She asked.

"Not much going on. Just teaching some of the famous ones how to dance. Not really starstruck about it though," I tapped my finger.

'This is not what I planned,' I told myself. As our drinks came, I decided to end this weird silence.

"You know Lauren," I started as she looked up, "I missed you like a ton. You wouldn't even know. It's like from Jupiter and back." She smiled like it was her birthday until her phone rang.

"Hello? Yeah- I'm with Y/N. Now? Okay," She answered, sighing in disappointment.

     "What's wrong?" I asked.

"I have to go back home. Can you drive me?" Lauren took a sip out of her drink.

"Yeah sure," We both got up with our drinks and I left a couple dollars to pay for it. We headed out of the café and walked towards my car.

"I really wanted to spend more time with you," Lauren quietly said. I unlocked the car and we both sat inside.

"It's okay. I mean you'll be busy most of the time. I just have to get used to it that's all," I said as I turned on the engine.

'Make a damn move Y/N,' I thought. I shook my head.

"Here's the address," she handed me a piece of paper. The drive was kinda awkward with the faint music on the radio on. Until I parked to the curb, I looked at where she lived.

"Wow. Nice house," I said. The green-eyed girl laughed.

"Yeah well, the girls and I live here. You wouldn't even last a day in there," I chuckled.

"So, tomorrow you'll be back with the girls in the studio?" I asked. She nodded.

"Alright well. I'll see you tomorrow," Lauren smiled as she opened the passenger door. I felt kind of disappointed that she has to leave but life is life, I guess. Before I thought of anything else, Lauren turned around from her seat and gave me a warm embrace.

"I'm sorry that we didn't hang out for a long time," she whispered at the crook of my neck.

"It's alright. Maybe next time," I gave a little smile. We separated from the hug and she left. I drove back to my apartment to find the place quiet.

"Kate?" my voice echoed through the rooms. No answer. Great, alone... again. I dragged my feet to my room and just flopped onto my bed. I sighed and slowly closed my eyes for a nice slumber. Soon, I will be able to tell her how I really feel.
