THE ROBBER

CHAPTER 1

Rose walked down the streets of New York, when she got a text on her phone. "New assignment", Rose mumbled to herself. She knew the number; it was one of her higher paying customers. Turning down a corner walking towards a metro station. Her eyes darting around her, making sure nobody paid attention to her. She picked up the phone once again out of her pocket and dialed a number.

"What?" The voice on the other side sounded irritated.

"another assignment" Rose said lowly, making sure nobody in the busy metro station could hear her.

"From who?"

"Mr. Castillo, I'm on my way over to his office. I expect you will be there too" Rose said diving into a metro station.

"Yeah, sure, give me ten minutes, I'll take a cab" the other line spoke, clearly annoyed. "But I can't stay long I have violin lessons"

"I know, I have stuff too you know" Rose spoke finally stopping at her station. All the young businessman walking out towards their work, mixing in with the crowds Rose stepped out of the station started walking.

"I will be there" The phone cut off. Rolling her eyes, Rose walked towards Wall Street, some of the buildings still in repair by what the aliens did in New York. Her eyes went towards the Avengers tower almost fully repaired by now.

The person on the other side of the line had what you could call a different morning than her partner. Elisa was woken up from her sleep by her alarm. Walking further into the apartment that Rose and Elisa shared and into the kitchen. She grabbed herself some cereal and sat at the breakfast table, shoving aside some documents that they have been going over. The phone rang.

"What" Elisa said annoyed, having her breakfast disrupted.

"Another assignment"

She sighed; it would be the third assignment this week. Way too much for Elisa if you ask her. But depending on the client they could cancel or reschedule the assignment. "From who?"

"Mr. Castillo, I'm on my way over to his office. I expect you will be there too". Shit Castillo is a good paying client, no way they could reschedule or let alone cancel him. She went back into her bedroom and started changing into her normal clothes.

"Yeah, sure, give me ten minutes, I'll take a cab" Elisa said, almost done changing and hopping over to the door. "But I can't stay long I have violin lessons"

"I know, I have stuff too you know"

"I will be there" Elisa said, walking out of the apartment building and hauling a cab.

After walking for a bit Rose arrived at the office building, where Elisa had been waiting for two minutes. Rose joins Elisa side as they walked inside the building. At the reception they meet a pretty young man.

"How can I help you ladies?"

"We are here for Mr. Castillo, name's Newman"

"Yes, I see you are in his agenda. He is in a meeting at the moment. But you can go up to his office" The man said.
