THE ROBBER

CHAPTER 2

Chapter 2

The office was bigger than they remembered it. The last time they were here it was a month ago, and it was nighttime. Now it was morning, so the sun shined bright through the glass walls. Rose walked over to the glass windows and looked out of them.

"It has been months and they still haven't repaired all the buildings" she said, seeing all the buildings that were still half destroyed.

"The insurance companies don't even pay for the repairs that have to be made"

A bitter laugh comes out of Rose as she turns around to Elisa who sat on the desk. "And they call us thieves"

"I wouldn't call you thieves, more like businesswomen". They hear a voice from behind them. They are met with Mr. Castillo. "Ladies it is nice to see you again after such a long time"

"Yeah sure, what kind of assignment do you have for us" Elisa said sitting back on the desk.

Mr. Castillo walked over to the desk and pulled on a drawer. Pulling out a file and an envelope and giving the file to Elisa. He then walked over to Rose and gives her an envelope and a wink. "I want files that shield possesses"

"How long do we have the time?" Elisa asked, as she read the file.

"As long as you need it. You have to make sure that they don't notice that the files get stolen let alone by me" He said, still standing next to Rose.

"Have you ever doubted us then?" Rose spoke up, diverting her eyes from the envelope and looking into Mr. Castillo's.

"No, never. But Shield is very protective over their secrets" Mr. Castillo said, giving Rose an intense stare.

"We won't disappoint you" Elisa said to Mr. Castillo immediately broke eye contact with Rose and walked back to the desk in the middle of the office.

"I'm sure of it"

"We will make it happen. You will hear from us" Elisa responded. She and Rose walked out of the office as Mr. Castillo watches them leave.

In the elevator it was silent. There were other people in the elevator that were working for Mr. Castillo. To say the least, Elisa did not fit in with them. Those people wore all really expensive suits and were all pretty stuck up.

Just getting out of bed for Elisa that meant that she only threw on a t-shirt, jeans and a coat she found. Rose on the other hand fit in more with them she wore dress pants and a black turtle neck jumper with a dark green raincoat.

"What is the assignment?" Rose asked Elisa as they walked out of the building.

"Some files on- uhm some sorts of steel I think I don't really understand what it is"

"Well whatever it is, it is worth more than all the other assignments that we have gotten from him"

"Yeah, is it a lot?" Elisa asked as they turned a corner.

"Way more than I expected" Rose responded as they both dove into a metro station, going back to their own house to figure out a plan.
