"What are you doing?" I asked when you pulled me along with you even as the rain pelted us relentlessly. "We're getting wet!"
"Live a little," you laughed. You wouldn't let go of my hand no matter how much I tried to break free. "Isn't it fun?"
"No." I scowled, helpless as you dragged and made me twirl under the rain. "We'll get sick."
"Oh, come on." You turned serious and shot me a meaningful look. "Think of it this way. Now you can cry and no one will notice your tears."
"Except for you."
"I'll pretend I don't see."
