Meeting the new neighbor

Brad's POV
"Hey, boys look like the new neighbors finished unpacking you should say hi, " my dad said.

I and my 8-year-old brother matt dragged our feet over to say hello. As we got to the door and knock on it a man showed up smiling.

"Hello sir, I'm brad walst and this is my baby brother matt," I said.

"Hello, there brad and matt would like to come in my wife just finished baking cookies," he replied.

"Yes please," Matt said running inside.

I slowly walked in looking around at the mess of toys thrown on the floor. As we headed to the kitchen I saw a girl at the age of 5 with brown hair and brown eyes.

"Hello, I'm Samantha Smith,"  she announced sweetly.

I smiled thinking why didn't I have a sister but got Matt instead. Brad hey Samantha got a collection of hot wheels Matt said as he played with one.

I knew better than to be rude to people but Matt was different. After the cookies, we left for home as Matt had a hot wheel in his hand playing.

"Did you steal that?" I asked.

"No, Sam's dad gave it to me as a gifted,'' he replied.

Sam is not her name it's Samantha I told him. I know but she told me to call her that he said. I shook my head as I know Matt had a little girlfriend. Matt becomes close friends with her as I stayed apart from her.

As the years passed her 13th birthday was around the corner.

"Come on brad I need your help on a birthday gift, " Matt begged.

"She turning 13th just get her something 13 years old girls like," I said.

Matt yelling your no help as he stormed to Samantha's house. I yelled back just don't kiss her she is still too young.

Matt's pov
Brad always made fun of us as I made my way to her house. Sam are you here as I walked in looking for her.

"I'm in my room," she replied.

I made my way up the stairs as I walked in on her putting on a bra. Matthew, you could be knocked as she covers up. I looked away as I saw her half-naked.

"I'm so sorry," I said bashfully.

"It's fine your used to letting yourself in," she explained.

"Are you dressed yet," I asked?

"Yeah, I'm you're ready for the skatepark, "she said.

I looked back at her noticing that she was more woman than that child. She grabbed my hand rushing to go. As I felt my heartbeat speed up I thought was falling for my friend. Come on matt she said moving her long hair into a ponytail.

"What's wrong Matt?" she asked.

Huh, I was thinking about your gift, I replied but was looking at how she changes. Luckily I could drive to the skatepark and her dad let us borrow the car to get there.

After getting to the skatepark she immediately started to skate. As I watched her my other friend Reid popped up.

"So Matt want are you going when her dad says she can date, " Reid said.

I said we are just friends plus she is 15 and I will be 18. Reid looked and said if you don't date her I will. Then it hit me could date but it would change our friendship.

He caught Sam changing feeling something different. Is it lust or love and will brad feel the same in the next chapter?
