"That's not fare." I whine, pushing him playfully, he smiles and holds onto my left arm.
"It is because I don't want to put you through pain." I look at his face and see he's thinking hard about something.
"I can still read minds." He says and I huff.
"Can't you turn it off or something?" I ask, my eyes roaming the room.
"No, it doesn't work like that." He says with a laugh in his voice.
"Well how does it work." I say crossing my arms like a child.
"Ugh not now. I'll tell you tomorrow." He says, putting a hand on my shoulder.
"Okay, but only if you promise you'll tell me later." I say, pulling the puppy dog face.
"I promise." He says.
I smile and nod, getting off the couch.
"Want to watch a movie?" I ask, going over to the TV.
"Sure, just no chick flicks." He says, turning to watch me.
'"Okay." I say, flicking through my small movie collection.
"I've got Twilight one, two and three, also the vampire diaries." I say, looking at him through the corner of my eyes.
"Are you serious, I am not sitting through a vampire movie with you." He says, shaking his head.
"I was joking. A comedy or action or horror." I shudder at the word.
I turn back to him and see the a sly grin on his face and a twinkle of danger in his eyes.
"Horror." He says, smirking at me before getting up and sitting on the floor next to me.
"No! I'll scream." I say, blushing a little.
"Awe, I will be at your side the whole time." He says, pulling out The Conjuring.
"That's what I'm worried about." I mumble going into the kitchen.
"Do you want anything to eat?" I ask, already knowing the answer.
"I'm fine." He says, looking a little annoyed or ashamed.
I proceed to make myself some two minute noodles, always checking where Kaver is.
"Ready?" He asks me as I walk back into the room, holding my food.
"Yeah, this is not going to be fun." I say, moving to the couch.
"Oh come on, you'll love clinging to me and hiding in my chest. " He says with a huge smirk on his perfect lips.
"You wish." I say, settling down and taking a mouthful of my noodles.
"Just wait." He says, sitting down next to me, closer than last time.
"Kaver." I ask as the start of the moivie comes on.
"Yes?" He asks, not looking away from the screen but I know very well he can hear me.
"What are we like yanno going to do? I mean, I've got a life and you're a vampire and probably have millionaire friends so I was just wondering, like what are we going to do after today?" I ask, playing with my hands and not even watching the movie.
He opens his mouth, still not looking at me.
"Well I thought we would go out, you could move in with me. Then later on down the track we get married and I might turn you into one of me." He says, a tint of anger in his voice.
"But I don't want to be one of you, I want to live a normal life with other humans." I says, putting my bowl on the coffee table.
"Well I'll go." He says, standing up. "But I swear to god if you take anything or smoke anything that isn't tobacco I am going to let you die." And with that he has vanished, into thin air.
"But." I stutter.
