A Hundred Dreams

A hundred dreams pass me by in the softest moonlight,
A hundred dreams give me vision with no sight..

My mind is breached with desires my heart must yield,
As I walk steadily, the blood on my hands from your heart is spilled..

Dripping from my fingertips with sorrow and despair,
How could I ever cleanse myself of this passionate affair?

I toss and turn at night, subconsciously trapped inside delusion,
The inception of love has gotten the best of me and is now a nuisance..

Psychologically, I have become temporarily damaged,
However my suffrage is permanent, finding new ways to manage..

Under the spell of the moon, I am ridiculed by the memories of our demise,
Thoughts of my pride and arrogance within the relationship come to no surprise..

Could I ever find another one to fill the void planted so deep within my heart?
One so forgiving and absolute other than my matriarch?

Discovery of such a thing would embark on a lifetime journey,
As a hundred dreams pass me by forever,
Tossing and turning..
