Class is over, so I quickly head out so Vico doesn't catch up with me, but unfortunately, not quick enough. I'm almost out the door when someone grabs me by my arm and spins me around to face them, and it is of course, Vico. She searches my eyes quickly like she's asking me if she can do something, and she turns around looking for Diego. Once Diego turns around and sees both of us, she turns back to face me and slaps me in the face. She slapped me pretty hard. I immediately brought my hand up to my face. I could see the guilt on her face after she hit me. I'm so confused as to what is going on. She gets rid of the guilt on her face and replaces it with anger. "That's what you get for looking at mi novio, puta." She looks back at Diego, and he smirks with approval. She pushes me out of the classroom and into the hallway. "Not finished with you yet!" She yells in the direction of Diego, but still looking at me. She drags me into the girls restroom. Once the door closes, she drops her act and looks at me worriedly. "¡Lo siento! I had to make sure Diego bought my act! I'm so sorry I slapped you, I didn't mean to slap you so hard." I laugh nervously. "It's completely okay, really. Don't worry about it." She scoffs dramatically. "¿Que? 'Don't worry about it?' You can be too nice sometimes." She looks at my cheek for a second, then leans in. "Here." She kisses my cheek where she slapped me, but also kisses the corner of my mouth while doing so. She moves away slowly from me. I instinctively touch where she kissed me. "Th-thanks," I say, embarrassed from my reaction. She smiles and leans slightly close to my face. "Aw, I like it when you speak Español though." I laugh lightly and pause, looking down at my feet, then back up at the waiting Vico. "Gracias," I say sheepishly. "Qué lindo," Vico says as she giggles and boops my nose. My face gets hot and I laugh. Vico stops laughing and remembers why she brought me here. Nooooooo
"You were crying before, I could tell. ¿Que pasa? You're not leaving until I get an answer." I look away from her. Aaah, she's so persistent
"I wasn't crying before. What are you talking about?" I say fake smiling. Vico frowns. "Don't play me for someone stupid. Tell me why.....why you were crying." She stares deep into my soul, her eyes serious. Tears prick at my eyes and my throat begins to hurt. I pinch my neck and look down. She makes me look back up at her with her pointer finger under my chin. "Por favor. I'm only trying to help." She takes my hand and squeezes. "I was crying because of-," I get cut off when someone enters the restroom. I look down at the floor again. I shake my head. "I-I don't want to talk about it," I say heading for the door. Vico grabs my arm. "Stop. I want to help you. Please just tell me." Vico is so persistent omg
I rub the side of my arm erratically. "Somewhere else," I say leaving the bathroom. Vico searches my eyes. I lower my voice. "I'll talk to you somewhere more private," I say hoping she won't just force me to tell her here. Vico looks at the girl that is currently in the bathroom with us. "Of course," she says, touching my arm in reassurance. I must have the most worried look on my face. I let out a loud sigh and slide slightly against the wall. "Danke," I say as i hug her. Vico seems taken aback by my action and hesitantly hugs back. She leans into our hug. "De nada.".

It's now 7:55pm, and I reluctantly agreed to talk to Vico at 8:00pm. As I leave my dorm room and head to Vico's room I see Roberta walking in my direction back to our room. My eyes widen and I turn around to take a longer way to get to Vico's room. I sprint quickly down the hall and hug the curve so I can be out of Roberta's sight before she notices me. I huff quietly, my heart beating erratically for so many different reasons. Vico is going to make me tell her what happened between me and Diego and I don't know how to confront Roberta after....whatever happened. For right now though, I'm just going to worry about speaking to Vico. I realize that I've been waiting outside Vico's dorm door for a minute because I was distracted by my thoughts. I hesitate a little longer, then knock on the door.
Someone answers the door and it's Mia. "Oh, hey Y/N. What are you doing here?" I feel sweaty. "Uh, Vico told me-" "You're here! No te preocupes, Mia." Mia nods and heads out the door along with Celina. "Where are they going?" I ask Vico. "Shh, they're going to a party," Vico says, holding her finger to her mouth and smirking. I laugh lightly. "Anyway," Vico says as she grabs my hand and drags me inside. "Time to talk."
We're sitting on her balcony that reveals a great view. The huge, dark purple sky accompanied by stars and stretched clouds. It's a little chilly outside. I notice Vico shiver. "You have any blankets?" I ask Vico. She smiles and nods. "Can you bring out the thick red one? It's on my bed." I toe back inside and try to guess which bed was hers, which was not that difficult once I saw which one had a red blanket on it. As I head back over to the balcony I drape it over Vico, her looking up at me and taking the blanket. "Gracias, cariño," Vico says. I sit back down next to Vico. "This blanket isn't just all for me," she says as she wraps one end on my side and pulls at my waist to scoot me closer to her.
"Okay, tell me what happened this morning." Vico turns toward me to hold eye contact with me, and I do the same. "The usual," I say and laugh. Vico looks at me, annoyed. "Stop going in circles and tell me already," Vico says, frustrated. "Okay, you want to know what happened? Your ass of a boyfriend is fucking mean. All the time." Vico looks ashamed. "Yeah, you should be," I say to her. "He's the reason why I have awful days, up until recently." I shut my mouth after saying that. "What does that mean?" I look away from Vico. "Doesn't matter, and it doesn't concern you. The point is, he's mean to me often and you just caught me right after it this one time." Vico grabs my hand. "I'm sorry, Y/N. You don't deserve that." I try to slip my hand out of hers, and when I do so she lets her hand fall on my thigh. My heart beat picks up. "I don't even know why I'm dating him," Vico says, staring at the ground. "Please stop seeing him," I say quietly. Vico turns to look at me. "You deserve so much better." I hold my gaze with Vico, trying to convey my words with as much emotion as possible. Vico stares back at me, and we're both silent for a few moments. "You're too amazing to waste your time with someone like him." Vico continues to stare at me, still silent. I break the eye contact then look back at her hoping she would respond now, but she still doesn't. Vico leans closer to me and straddles me. Before I can say anything else, she wraps me in a hug. "Never knew how highly you thought of me." I hug her back and rest my head on her shoulder. "You're gorgeous, Vico. Whoever thinks otherwise is an idiota."
