Satana Hellstrom is quite a difficult person, and, considering her past, it's pretty understandable. Life had never been easy for her: an overbearing father, who also happens to be the King of Hell, a mother whom Ana has never met, a stubborn brother who's always going against her and their father, and a lot of people dear to Satana who died a long time ago.
When Hellstrom was young and reckless she used to spend almost all of her time on Earth – among the people. She even fell in love. He was a usual blacksmith in Greece, many years ago. Of course Satana knew her father wouldn't approve that his daughter was in love with a mortal man, so with the help of her brother, Daimon, she kept it secret.
Unfortunately, there's nothing you can hide from Satan. When her father found out about this man, he sent to the village Hell's dogs who killed every man, woman and a child there. Satana still remembers going back to the village and finding the bodies of fifty or so people who were like family to her, along with the love of her life. Since that day she never resisted against her father. She realized that Satan is an unstoppable, merciless monster. As time went on, Ana's blood got colder, her heart became more callous and her eyes lost the spark they used to have. Now, she was merely a weapon in her father's hands.
Stephen Strange used to be a brilliant, albeit arrogant, neurosurgeon with lots of money, success and almost everything he ever wanted. His life was perfect, until the day he got into a car accident crushing both of his hands. I think you all know this story very well. It's hard to forget a man who became one of the most powerful sorcerers in the world, and once again it seemed like his life had gotten even better than before: he was national superhero, with people who support and love him. It really seemed like that, but the things he'd been through: Titan, the battle with Thanos, Tony's death... they stained his soul. He didn't know Stark very well, but Stephen knew that Tony had a family. If Strange could've he would have been the one to snap, without hesitation. But he couldn't resist fate.
Both Satana and Stephen need their souls saving, and maybe one day they would lose themselves to the madness inside, but to their luck fate decided not to tell what would happen if they never met.
