"Ugh, I dont know how I'm supposed to this test! I'm so screwed!" I mumbled

Just before my Maori language teacher had informed my class that he will be holding a test after lunch so we should be ready, but due to me coming so late in the year I dont know whether we had covered this subject in classes I have been part of and was sulking at a table by self scribbling on my sketch book.

"Why me..." I whined to no one in particular not expecting to receive a reply

"Woah what happened to you??" I looked up and saw him, his book in hand with a confused expression as he sat down just opposite of me so I could see him and I grumbled taking a bite of my sandwich, offering him one which he kindly decline and asked once again.

"So what happened??"

I sighed, sitting up right still scribbling in my sketchbook as I told him about the test, he seemed to find it amusing how I was dying because of this and decided to add on to it.

"Oh and maori is your worst subject if I remember" oh how he loved to tease me, I dont know why, it must be entertaining to him but at the moment I couldnt be bother to come up with some comeback so I slouched back and stared of into space not being able to catch his change of expression.

First I heard a sigh and then I felt a hand placed on my head. Though I still did not look back at him. So he spoke

"Don't stress over it too hard okay?? You're gonna be fine, just make sure to read the questions properly and understand the passage before answering and you'll be fine"

I stared at my book as a means of avoiding his gaze which he noticed, so he took out a pencil, writing down a little note saying "you'll do great ^^" on it before placing the pencil down and petting me.

I finally decided to look up at him to find him smiling, he repeated what he had written, but this time, verbally and it made me chuckle. It made me smile knowing I had his support and it boosted my self confidence a bit more.

So finally out of my gloomy mood we striked up a conversation, and by the time the class bell had rang I decided to walk with him til I got to class and before entering I turned to hug him.

"Thanks"

He smiled and hugged back

"No problem, go in there and do your best okay??"

"Sir yes sir!" I saluted cheekeshly and he raised a brow at me and if telling me "are you serious??"

Which made me chuckle and nodded, walking into class, already counting down the minutes to get out and tell him how I survived it without dying.
