3rd pov
Asta had finally gotten a hit on Vetto! He stuck his anti-magic sword into Vetto's side while he was caught off guard. "He did it!" Exclaimed Vanessa. Finral started to fill with tears in his eyes in shock.
"We won..." relieved Noel; Noel is a royal.
"Oh... are you sure about that?" Replied Vetto with a grin on his face. All the sudden a red fog swarmed around Asta's arms and everyone stared in shock.
He was using his mana to try and give Asta pain; or despair. Asta tried to keep his cool, but he quickly lost it when all of the sudden, Vetto had bent his left arm the wrong way too far.
He let out a blood curdling scream and everyone stared in shock. "That's right!" Yelled Vetto "Despair!" Asta gave Vetto a death glare as he came in closer to Asta's face; he couldnt hold it in anymore. Asta let out another yell and arched his back to only see blurs of his friends.
Vetto kept yelling Despair and it was getting pretty annoying. Vanessa, Finral, Noel, Grey, Charmy, and Gauche all stared in shock at the scene infront of them.
Asta tried to hold onto his sword for as long as he could but his body became weaker and weaker by the second. His body eventually gave up and he passed out onto the floor.
"Oh no... ASTA!" yelled Noel. She wanted run over to Asta and make sure he was okay. But before she could, Vetto picked him up by his collar and watched his head dangle from his body.
Vetto pulled Asta closer and saw his eyes start to open slowly. He knew Asta had his ears on; so he pulled him closer to his face.
"Now that you've despaired..." he smirked "I'm going to make sure that you dont wake up for a looong time." Asta looked at Vetto with widened eyes; but before he could stop him, Vetto jumped into the air with Asta.
He threw Asta to the ground as hard as he could.
Asta hit the ground hard and bounced into the air just a few inches. Vetto flew to the ground so fast that he blured in the air. When Vetto reached the ground, he punched Asta in the gut which made him spit up some blood.
Asta went unconscious by the time Vetto hit him in the stomach; Vetto picked Asta up by his collar again. But before he landed another hit on Asta, Vanessa used her thread magic to grab Asta and pull him into one of Finral's portals. His portal then teleported Asta behind the two teammates.
"Asta!" yelled Noel as she ran towards Asta laying in the ground. "Noel, how is he?" asked Vanessa.
Noel didn't answer, she started at Asta while her hand was checking his pulse on his neck.
"Noel? HOW IS HE?" asked Finral with concern. She studered but ended up saying something. "He.. he's not breathing.." she quivered. The way she said it made everyone look at him.
"WHAT?" asked both Finral and Vanessa at the same time. "He's not breathing!" Noel screamed.
Back in the Watch room with Yami
Yami gritted his teeth and stood up from the couch. The old man looked at him in worry. Yami then called his Dark Magic sword from his grimior, said a spell, and stabbed the ground which had broken the magic barrier around the watch tower. He jumped out of the hole in the wall he had made, and sprinted to the maze.
