Hurried steps echoed in the dark alleyway as group of young men run from one street to another. The rain had just stopped and the smell of petrichor is evident in the surrounding. They've been running for the last 2 hours and exhaustion is evident on their faces – but they must keep running.
"Run faster or it will be the death of us!" one of the young men uttered as they hold on to their breaths while running nonstop.
"I told you this wouldn't work! All our actions are being monitored regardless of the rank. Why do you have to do this thing!" another member stated while glaring at the person in front of him.
"Regardless of your reasons, we are now considered as Traitors, damn you!" another team member uttered while gasping for air.
Their running came to a halt when another group block their way. This time, the group in front were wearing a black cape from head to toe – you won't even see what their faces looks like, but the expression of the group of young men just say how scared they are – their faces were ghostly pale.
"Where do you think you're going?"
"We're sorry, please forgive us." The young men tried to convince as they all bowed down to their knees.
"Sorry? if you are really sorry then you knew for a fact that what you did is a break of conduct in the family." The man who stood at the center uttered as he move closer to the man in front of him.
"It wasn't our intention. All we needed was to step up and be recognized." One of the young men answered while his whole-body trembles in fear
The man in front of them scoffed as he shakes his head "be recognized huh? If You want such a good recognition, I can give it to you." He answered and before anything else, the group of young men collapsed to the ground – lifeless.
"Make this as a lesson learned to everyone, all traitors will follow their footsteps and be recognized. No one dares to betray this family. You understand?" he asks
"Yes Master."
He turned his back after giving instructions to clean the messed up and not to leave any traces of evidence behind. He was about to board the car when he saw another person inside already humming some random melody with his eyes closed.
"so how many bullets did you press on today?" he asks as soon as he gets on the car
The other person stops humming as he smirked at the question asks "one." He answered.
"Aww you're no fun, there's 5 of them and you only use one?" the man who was wearing a cape asks while shaking his head.
"Bullets are expensive, they don't deserve anything more than 1. I should have used the other gun instead, but you keep on pestering me to keep it silent as possible." He replied.
The other guy chuckles as he sits comfortably on his side. "just following orders." He replied
"I don't follow such thing." The other man answered
"Right, Right, I forgot I am talking to a master." The other guy answered while shaking his head.
The guy who was humming a melody glance at the person beside him. "who's the next target?" he asks
"all is well. I've got everything taken care of. Let's see who will betray us again." Was the reply he got.
"should we go home?" the guy asks without looking at the person beside him.
"mmhm."
