//recap//
I click on Makayla's name and...
//end recap//

Y/Ns POV:
I look down at my phone and read what Makayla had said. The text reads "hello Y/N. I know what you and JD did to Makayla. But don't worry I'm not going to turn you in. As long as you do as I say. Go to the back of the 7/11 at midnight. There will be something waiting for you two."

Holy shit. I look over at JD with worry in my eyes. He seems unusually calm. "what do we do?" I ask him. "We go to the seven- eleven," He says. "Are you crazy?" I say and turn my body towards him. "This could be a killer or something! We have to go to the cops" I tell him. "Are you crazy?" He returns the question. " If we go to the cops they'll find out we killed Makayla. Then we'll go to prison" JD says slightly loud. "You're right, I guess," I tell him.

We sit there for a few seconds in silence. It's like we've run out of things to say. This whole day has been chaotic. It's not every day you get to say you killed your best friend with your sorta boyfriend, and now someone's blackmailing you.

"what do we do till then?" I ask. "Uhhh" he starts. "We could watch some t.v?" He suggested. "Sure," I say and lean back into him so we're more or less cuddling. He flips through the channels and lands on the news. On the news, you can see a broadcaster in front of our school. "Sherwoods Local teenage girl 'Makayla Harris' is found dead in her house this morning at 11:34 when her parents came home from visiting a relative. The cause of death was suicide by drinking drainer fluid. Makayla's family is in a very deep mourn. There will be a funeral this Sunday at 11:00 Am for Makayla. May she Rest In Peace." The women on the tv finished.

Oh shit. "Wanna go?" JD asks. "What?" I ask him. What kind of person goes to the person they've killed funeral. "Well we should," he says. "And why's that?" I question. "Well to the rest of the town she was your friend or so-called 'best friend' so I'll be weird if you weren't there," JD explains. "Your right" I agree with him. It would be kinda weird not showing to a friend's funeral, even if you weren't really friends.

He gives me a small kiss on my temple as we continue to watch tv.

I had texted my mom and told her I was staying at a "friends" house for the night. Things were really quiet for a while. We just sat and watched tv. I wasn't even watching the tv. I was just thinking, but I could still hear the noise playing in the background.

Just as I was deep in thought, I heard the door open. My headshot to where the noise was and I saw a man that somewhat resembles an older JD. He was a pretty tall man. His hair was a dark brown, but you could tell he's getting older cause his roots were gray. As he stepped in the looks over at us and greeted us with a "hello". "Hey" JD replied not even looking at him. "Hi" I replied shyly. "Are you going to introduce me to your little friend here?" The man asked. "Oh uh yeah..." JD started. "This is Y/N L/N. Y/N this is my dad... Jason." He finished. "Nice to meet you," I say with a smile. "Likewise," said Jason. "I'll be downstairs planning things if you need me," Jason said and went downstairs. "He seems friendly," I say to JD once Jason was no longer in sight. "Yeah seems like it" he replies.

Something tells me he doesn't get along with his dad very much.

//time skip a few hrs//

Jd and I had fallen asleep cuddled up on the couch for a while. Jd must've woken up before me because when I opened my eyes he was playing with my hair. I slowly look over at him and smile. "Hi," I say softly. "Hey" he replies with a smile as well. "What time is it?" I ask. He looks at the clock that I didn't notice was on the wall. "Eleven forty-five" he stated. Well if it's 11:45 we should leave soon. "Are you ready to leave?" I asked. "I am if you are," he says back to me.

I sit up and stretch my back for a few moments before I get up. Jd stands up after me and grabs my hand as we make our way out the door. For some odd reason, it wasn't very cold outside. Jd and I climbed into his car a drove off the 7/11. Most of the car ride we just sat in each other's company with the light music in the background from the radio.

As we got closer my mind began to wonder. 'Who is this guy?' 'Is it even a guy?' 'What do they want?'. These types of questions floated around my head until I finally decided to ask one. I looked over at Jd and said: "who do you think it is?" He looked at me with a questionable look on his face. "The person who texted me" I clarified. "I have no idea," he said glancing over at me then back to the road.

The rest of the way was quiet. Once we pulled into the 7/11 parking lot my heart began to pound. What if this person tries to kill us? "You ready?" Jd ask. I quickly nod as we get out of the car. We walk around the car till we meet and he grabs my hand. My phone makes a ding noise and I get a text from the person. It reads "I see your car here. There is a letter for you behind the 7/11 on the sidewalk"

Creepy.

I show the text to Jd and he quickly reads it. He gives me a reassuring look as we walk hand in hand to the back of the 7/11. We look around and find a piece of paper. JD picks it up and opens it. I look over his shoulder and read it. It says: if you lovers don't want your secret to getting out about your awakening call to Makayla, you're going to have to do what I say. Tomorrow there will be another letter on JDs front door in the morning. The letter will tell you what to do. ~good luck!

Holy shit.

What have I gotten myself into?

A/N: heyy so I know I haven't updated in for ever,,,, but I'm in quarantine! (I don't have corona) but I'm still not sure on how I feel about this book. I might just make a "chapter" where I just explain the ending or I can try to hurry and write it. Cause I really want to make an IT preferences/imagines book after I finish this one. So yeah tell me what you think I should do! Love y'all <33
