No promises but I will still try! Also, please look on The Hidden Demon, I need help making characters... I really need a villain and (Y/N)'s best friend at the moment! Anywho imma stop taking now! I hope you enjoy the new story!!)

(Y/N) (Y/L) was a semi newcomer to New York City. Her family, including her mother, father, and older brother, had moved to a new house in NYC a little over two months ago. However, The family of four didn't know that moving here would lead to a betrayal in their blood and the death of two family members.

(Y/N) doesn't remember the night of the betrayal very well. She was only 7 years old when a tiger came through the living room window. She remembers her mother telling her to follow her. She remembers her mother showing her a loose floorboard in the house. She remembers her mother shoving a purple and blue heart necklace into her hands and then kissing the top of her head.

“I love you Nyx, never forget that.” Her mother had then used her magic to put the girl asleep. (Y/N) see her mother hide her under the loose floorboard. She didn't hear her mother scream when she was run through with a sword. All she saw was the aftermath. Blood splattered all over the house. She looked everywhere for her family, but all she found was a single finger. Her whole family was dead. Gone.

But, that was 9 years ago, and there was nothing she could do about it now.

(Y/N) is now 16, and homeless. She refused to live in an orphanage, so she ran away from every single one. The police just stopped caring after the 20th or 21st. She lived on the streets. Her only friend was the necklace her mother had given her. While that may sound weird, its not. The necklace was a weapon. When she wished it the necklace would transform into a scythe. Its size ranged, mainly because (Y/N) could will it to be any size she wished. However, this was no ordinary weapon it transformed into. The scythes name was Sobek, after the god of the Nile river. He was named that by (Y/N) because the scythes colour reminded her of the blue ocean, it was constantly changing and mixing shades of blue. Now, why did this younger girl name this weapon of hers? Simple, once the weapon was out of necklace mode he could fly around and talk. Sodek had a small accent and was (Y/N) best friend. The scythe was once her mothers, the two had done so many things together, and Sobek river knew all the secrets to (Y/N)’s species.

“(Y/N), bro,” the scythe said one night while she was walking down an allyway. He was still in necklace mode. “Your not human.”

(Y/N) just rolled her eyes. “Sobek, I know that.” Her voice sounded  just like the rest of her looked, small and innocent. It was extremely deceiving. "I don't think normal humans have a talking weapon. I also don't think normal humans can set then self on fire."

Sobek grunted. "Well they could-"

"Sobek, they would die. Normal humans also don't have to fight the urge to kill something do they?"

"Well, um, no." The scythe took in a deep breath. If it could even breath that is. (Y/N) was almost positive Sobek had no lungs. "Nyx," the 16 year old winched at her mother's only nickname for her. "You know how you have wings." The girl touched her back subconsciously. A pair of wings were hidden back there, attached to her shoulder blades.

"Ya, normal humans don't have those either." Then (Y/N) pointed to her mouth. "I don't think they have razor sharp fangs either." Sobek hummed, laughter?
