Violet is shocked ? Would be an understatement. Seeing someone stood up for her for the very first time wasn't her concern, but seeing this Man standing up for her against them made her quite astonished.

His jawline sharp. Mesmerizing ocean blue eyes are now darker in anger.

My gaze snapped at the boys back who dared to speak against him.

Obviously Ryan has to argue back, can't he just take the high road and forget about Violet !

"Seriously Man ! Mind your own business I don't like people interfering in my business." Says Ryan.

"Trust Me punks I have no intention minding in your business but watching you guys minding others business made me poke in your business." He retorts back.

Every other customers were looking at them sneakily. They are good for nothing. Either they just looks sneakily and brag about it to others or they would just be ignoring the whole fact and make their way away from the situation.

Ryan is a spoilt brat doesn't like to argue much... More like doesn't like to get retorts back by someone.
"I think he's new here." One of the boys said Ryan.

Ryan steps towards the Man and looks into his eyes. "I don't think it's a good idea to speak to me like that. So whoever you are I am going to leave you for this instant. But better not the next time."

"You might not know me now, but soon you'll get to know who I am, so I am repeating your threat back to you ' I am going to leave you for this instant but better not the next time' Get it ?"

Ryan glares at me before cursing him once again " This isn't the last you are seeing me "
And that's how it ended leaving her in a very awkward situation with her saviour.

Before he could say me anything she let him know her regards.

"Thank You very much for standing up for me" Violet says.

"Its my duty to make sure everyone is safe around me" he says.

Tilting her head to the side in confusion she shrugs off his statement and gave him a polite smile.

However her confused expression made him smile at her 'Cute' he thought.

He composed himself from staring at her like a fool he extends his hand to her and introduces himself to her, "Hi my name is Nicholas Winchester."

Violet takes his hands and he raises to his mouth brushing his lips on her skin ever so slightly, made her blood rush to her face as she gave him a shy smile.

"And you are ?" He asks again as if realizing she haven't answered.

"Oh I.... I'm Violet Moore" she says politely.

"You have a very nice name, just like you"he says.

"Very Chivalry, are we ?" She mocks him.

"I guess we are, is it working ?"

" I guess it's working very fine."

It's very rare Violet has never ever smiled so much in her life just by talking with him.

"Did you find something to buy for yourself from here yet ?"she asks.

"Yeah I actually have, here this book and the newspaper."he says by handing over the book and the newspaper.

I saw the book ' It's a cook book'

"Cook book huh ?" She enquires while noting down her journal for the bill.

"Yeah, got myself a new home across the busy market beside the river so I got to learn cooking if I am staying alone"

"You mean the two storey cottage beside the river? You live there ?" She asks.

"Well yeah, it seems like you know that place." He more likely wanted it to be a question but still it came as a statement.

"Sometimes I go strolling across, the sunset is quite mesmerizing from that place." She answers.

"I assure you the sunrise is quite mesmerizing too"

"I wish I could see that someday." She says with a sigh.

"If you people are done talking can you just make my bill already ?" A man behind us exclaimed with irritation.

"Sorry for making you wait here give me your goodies"

After releasing the man with his bill I glanced at Nicholas as he was staring at me intendly

"You look like you wanna say something ?" She asks him, while he just nodded.

"When do you get your job done for the day ?" He asks

"By the evening, why do you ask ?"

"Because I am very much intend to meet you again"
He admits.

Violet's heartbeat increases at his words. She wasn't expecting this right at this, maybe someday but not just yet. She knows there is attraction between them but she doesn't know what is this attraction for ?
"I.. I don't know if..."

"It's okay if you aren't comfortable I'm not imposing on you... It's fine, really." He in utter politeness, it melts her heart as how gentle his behavior is.

"What I mean to say is, I would love to but I have another shift at the Crumble Dinner, so I don't think I'll be able to give you much time."

He doesn't say anything just nods.

"I'm sorry." She apologizes.
"Please don't, I am not upset even a bit. But let me tell you 'we will see each other frequently now.'"
"Have a great day Violet"

"Nicholas" she leaves a big sigh as he steps out of the library.
