I sit on the sofa reading my book, until I heard the front door open. I look over and see Dutch and Arthur.
"Hello boys, what do you need?"
"Hello Shelly, I was wondering if Arthur could live in here and sleep on the other sofa so he doesn't kill Micah."
"Sure, even though I would love to see that mans blood all over the ground and walls of the barn." I grumble, and hear Arthur chuckle.
"Now now Shelly, I understand you didn't have a good start with him but he will get better. He always does." Dutch said with confidence. I just nod, and go back to reading my book. Arthur leaves to go get his stuff, and Dutch walks over and sits down next to me. I look over and smile, I wonder what made him a bandit?
"So Shelly, what made you leave the O'driscols?"
"Jacob did, when I realized I loved him I left. I didn't want to destroy his life with my action." I murmur while reading my book. Dutch just nods, he stretches and throws his arm around that back of the couch behind me. I sigh and lean back into his arm. He looks over in shock but then smiles down at me.
"So Shelly, is there any work the men and women can do around her?"
"Actually yes! The men can go herd up the cattle in the south pasture while the women milk the cattle that are already here."
"Okie dokie, I'll see you tonight." Dutch murmured kissing my forehead, a blush crawling up my neck to my cheeks.
"Y-Yea see you tonight Dutch." He turned leaving the house to go tell the gang what they had to do.
