i was in the library looking for a book to read. an interesting one since there is absolutely nothing to do in this hell hole. as i was skimming the shelves i found a decent book. i grabbed it and as i was walking to the librarians desk, i was looking down reading the books description. i bumped into something. i looked up and it was a boy with furious red hair and dark green eyes. i had a glazed look in my eye at first but i slowly realized the boy was jerome valeska. the man who turned gotham into a mad house. the man who almost burned a whole school bus full of kids. a murderous psychopath was standing right in front of me. with his crazy smile he stared at me. "i-i'm sorry" i looked at him with tremendous fear not knowing what he could do next. "it's fine doll" his smile started to grow less and he looked...quite normal. "i was just wondering why a beautiful girl like you is in such a," he waved his hand around "horrible place like this. wachya do?" his eye brows where lifted and he has a devilish smirk on his face. "i killed someone." i gulped "on accident-" as i finished my sentence he grabbed my hand and held it firmly. "and what's you're name doll?" he asked still with that smirk on his face. "Y/N" "well Y/N, nice to meet ya. i'm jerome." he looked to the side and his smirk immediately disappears "which you probably already knew" he said as his voice got deeper each word. he looked back up and smiled at me "anyways, i would love to have a girl like you be by my side." he smirked. "n- no thank you- i have to go" i tried to walk around him but he put his hand on my chest not allowing me to go. "c'mon doll, you need the protection in here". i looked at him for a few seconds thinking, yeah there are so many creeps in arkham that look at me and make comments everyday so it wouldn't hurt to have someone by my side. and anyways, he wasn't ugly. i sighed "fine whatever. i'm only doing it for the protection" i said trying to make it look like i didn't care much. "yes!" he hopped a little and smiled "we're gonna have so much fun". i smiles at his adorable actions. who knew a murderous psychopath could be this adorable and loving.
