-Piers POV-
We had the chance to change into some fresh clothes, and were almost done setting up the tent.(Y/N): "OK, now that THAT'S done."
Sherry: "HEY, WE GOT THE FIRE STARTED! COME ON AND EAT!"
I cringed. I couldn't help it.
(Y/N): "Does she have to scream like a freakin' banshee?"
Piers: "Damn, you two are like oil and water, aren't you?"
(Y/N): "No, she's just so damn...Cheery all the time, it's almost nauseating."
Piers: "She definitely has her moments."
(Y/N): "Definitely. Ready to get something to eat?"
Piers: "You have no idea."
*Small Timeskip*
We'd finished eating, and were kinda just killing time before we went to bed.
(Y/N): "Hey, Chris. Piers was telling me about that camp from around here. Was that something that actually happened?"
Chris: "Yeah, back in 1980. Well, the part with the mother at least. The part with Jason was a few years before that."
(Y/N): "Well, damn. I kinda thought Piers was just trying to put a scare into me."
Jake: "The camp blood bullshit? C'mon, you'd have to crazy to believe that."
Piers: "Say that when you're getting yourself gutted with a machete."
Sherry: "That's....That's not funny."
She pulled herself closer to him.
(Y/N): "Relax, 'princess', even if the story IS or WAS true, what makes you think he'd still be around here?"
Chris: "Well, you never know."
I looked over at Piers, and he looked tired as hell. All that driving and shit this morning probably took it out of him.
(Y/N): "Ok, I don't know about you guys but, I'm about ready to hit the hay."
Piers: "You and me both."
Chris: "I should probably turn in too."
Jake: "Guess that just leaves us."
Sherry: "Guess so."
Chris: "Ok, just, don't stay up too late you two. The bugs out here are murder."
Jake: "They're BUGS, not dinosaurs, I think we can handle it."
They got up and headed towards the dick a few yards away from the campsite.
Piers: "You go on in, I'll be right behind you."
(Y/N): "OK....But, don't keep me waiting."
-Piers POV-
We've been together since junior high, and we still managed to make each other blush from time to time.
Chris: "Hey, you ok there?"
Piers: "Yeah, why?"
Chris: "Your face is bright red."
Piers: "Yeah I'm fine. Hey, you got a minute?"
Chris: "Yeah, I just gotta clean up and put out the fire, what's up?"
I was so nervous the whole drive here, even Chris was clueless as to why.
Piers: "Keep a secret?"
Chris: "You know it. C'mon what's eatin' you?"
I reached into my pocket and pulled out a small square ring box.
Piers: "Can you take a look at this? I'm so nervous I can barely think straight. And now I have a million thoughts running through my head. What if she doesn't like it?"
He opened the box and looked at the simple ring inside. A thin, silver band, with a small diamond. She's always been one for the simple things.
Chris: "Piers, she's gonna love it. You know her better than anyone."
Piers: "I know it's just..."
Chris: "You want it to be perfect, right?"
Piers: "Exactly. You really think she's gonna love it?"
Chris: "She loves you. She'll love anything you give her."
-Your POV-
I got changed into a tank top and a pair of PJ shorts, and set up the sleeping bags. As much as I hate the heat, I hate this damn humidity even more. I was starting to wonder what was taking him so long, so I peeked out of the tent....And overheard what they were talking about...
Piers: "You really think she'll say 'Yes'?"
Chris: "Of course she will. She loves you, Piers."
Piers: "I know just...Nervous I guess."
My eyes went wide and I ducked back inside.
(Y/N): "Holy shit..."
I couldn't believe it...Was he really gonna propose?
