"Wyatt Oxlade-Chamberlain" Perrie said, leaning over the breakfast counter to face her three year old Son. "Did you try to open up your birthday presents?""No Mummy" The curly haired blonde boy smiled, looking up at her with big puppy dog eyes. Perrie forced herself not to grin at how painfully adorable her little boy was.
"Then why was one ripped open?" She asked, fixing his hair away from his eyes.
"Hatchi did that" Wyatt said. Perrie hummed.
"Are you telling me porky pies ?"
"No Mummy" Wyatt grinned cheekily. "Can I have S'Cream?"
"After dinner" Perrie said. "Let me show you this present my lovely"
She took him into her bedroom and presented the half open present to him. "Did you open this up Wyatt?"
He nodded his head. "Yeah Mummy"
"Yeah, I thought so" Perrie sighed. "You cant get a surprise for your birthday if you open up all your presents baby. It'll be lots more fun if you just wait a few more days"
"Okay Mummy" Wyatt nodded. "Can I have it?" Perrie raised her eyebrow, "I already knowed whats it is" He batted his eyelids up at her, knowing he would get his way.
"Well I suppose so" They finished unwrapping the toy Captain America. There was footsteps from behind them.
"What are you two up to?" Alex asked. Perrie smiled at him.
"Daddy!" Wyatt exclaimed, jumping up and hugging his Dad's leg. Alex ruffled his sons curls.
"Someone opened up his present. Since he knew what it was I let him have it" She said. Alex laughed as Wyatt reached up, he lifted him taking hold of the toy.
"Avengers Assemble" He imitated, lifting the toy in the air. Wyatt laughed, reaching for his new toy.
"Come and get dinner now" Perrie laughed, pulling Alex's arm.
"Can I get s'cream ?" Wyatt asked again. "The 'nilla one?" He directed the question to his father this time. Alex was about to say yes, when Perrie interjected.
"I said after dinner petal, now come on"
They went down to eat, Perrie had made spaghetti bolognese. After, Wyatt got his Vanilla Ice Cream and they watched Cars, for the fifth time that week. Wyatt was half asleep in his Dad's lap when the film finally finished.
"Look at the state of him" Perrie laughed softly. She used a baby wipe to clean his sticky face and hands. In all honesty, waking him up for a bath would only result in a very late night and about ten tantrums so she decided to leave it for the morning.
Alex carried his son up to bed, after Perrie had kissed him goodnight. He lay him down under his Liverpool duvet, tucking his toy dog in beside him.
He took a minute to appreciate how lucky he was. His kid was happy and healthy, he had a loving wife and a pretty amazing job. What more could he need?"Daddy" Wyatt murmered, breaking Alex from his thoughts. He fixed the blanket around his Son again.
"You get back to sleep little man. I'll see you in the morning" He kissed his head. "Love you son"
"Night Daddy" Wyatt replied as his eyes drooped again. Alex turned his nightlight on and left the room, leaving the door ajar.
"And he is asleep" The brown haired man declared, falling onto the sofa. Perrie smiled. Alex sat up. "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" He asked, raising his eyebrows.
Perrie nodded. "We need to be quiet. You get the Limbo equiptment and I'll get the air pump"
The pair dashed off to find their equiptment.
