Renjun awoke with a start, glancing around in a haphazard state at his unfamiliar surroundings. It took him a good minute before his brain defuzzed and he soon recognized his (new) bedroom. He sighed, finally remembering that, once again, he was no longer in China and was in Korea instead. Incheon, to be precise.

He reached over to his bedside table, his hand jumping around looking for his phone tiredly. Eventually sitting up and looking right at the table, he saw it was hidden behind his lamp, because of course it was. Renjun unlocked it, but locked it just as quickly, his eyes most definitely not used to the bright screen that just shone onto his face. After a moment of mentally preparing himself for the blinding light, he unlocked it once more, this time taking a look at the time: 5:45 am. God fucking damnit.

There's never anything worse than waking up just minutes before your alarm actually goes off. Huang Renjun could attest to that.

With a groan, he turned on his lamp and slipped out of his bed, making his way towards the bathroom that was just down the hall. As he brushed his teeth, the sun slowly began to rise, just reminding him how nicely he could be sleeping at the moment.

'First day of school so far? -1/10,' He thought to himself, the rest of his thoughts a tired, jumbled mess. He looked at himself in the mirror questioningly, did he want to be better than everyone else and take a shower? Or did he want to just dress nicely and hope no one would notice his excessive amount of Dove Deodorant. He took one glance at the time again (5:53), and Dove Deodorant it was.

Making it back to his room, Renjun swung open his closet door, taking in it's limited amount of contents. Three sweatshirts, his brother's old tennis jersey that Renjun was gifted two years prior, and about eight shirts. He decided to go for the comfort of his mustard yellow sweatshirt and one of his (many) ripped black jeans. Though he had contacts, the idea of them being in his eyes scared him, so he put on his glasses instead– despite the fact that the lenses weren't up to date with how bad his eyesight was; he kept them only for the frames at this point.

He checked the time once more and thanked god for giving him a solid 45 minutes to get some food from the bakery down the street on his way towards school. After making sure he had everything he needed for school, and then some, Renjun slung his bag over his shoulder, grabbed his house-keys, and left for Moon Cakes (the bakery).

Jaemin had a reputation for many things, but being late for school was not one of them. However, that didn't stop his mom from threatening him with a slipper to the head if he didn't grab his toast and run to the bus stop 'Right this instant or else he was going to eat shit!'

And so Jaemin found himself waiting at the bus stop with a far-too-light-for-the-first-day-of-school backpack on his shoulder and a burnt piece of toast hanging out of his mouth as he wrapped his jacket around his hips. He rocked back and forth, his tired brain trying its best to stay awake long enough before he could sleep on the bus for the half-hour ride it would take for him to get to school.

The bus pulled to a stop in front of him, and Jaemin clambered inside, brushing past an older woman, before he found his usual seat in the far back– which was currently occupied by someone else.

"Why are you in my seat, dude?" Jaemin asked, sitting down next to the boy.

"Oh look who it is– I'm sorry did you just dude-zone me?" The boy turned his head in disbelief and Jaemin let out a huff in amusement.

"I did. And I'll do it again if you don't move your sorry ass to the next seat over. You know I always sit there, Jeno." Jaemin tried to shove him but to no avail and he soon gave up.
