Ughh its only 3:30pm and I'm stuck here at work for another 2 hours. Working as a barista has to be the most stressful, demanding, usele. "Persephone, you okay?" My coworker snaps me out of my miserable thought. "Yes I'm fine just thinking about life" I respond quickly and immediately get back to cleaning. I hear the bells on door as someone walks in "oh great another person" I whisper softly to myself making sure no one can hear me.
"Hi welcome to starks, how can I help you" as I'm greeting the costumer all I can think about is how I wish I could say "welcome to my living hell". "Hi sweet face, can I get a large Carmel frap no whip" what the hell did he just call me? It takes a moment for me to respond, "um you can have a large cup of stop the bullshit", oh fuck I said that out loud unemployment here I come. I instantly go to apologize, but when I look into his eyes I get lost.
It takes what feels like hours to snap back to reality and I go to get his frap. "Here's your frap officer, have a good day", I can see a smirk come across his face and before I know it he says "here's a tip for the looks and comment sugar". Hours later it's time to leave thank god, I just want to go to the dorm and study with liz. Liz and I have been best friend since the start of college. I tell her everything and she does the same. College would suck ass If it wasn't for her
I rush home right away and once I'm there I jump on my bed and don't move for a good 10 minutes. Liz walks in and sees me and instantly knows that today has not been my day. "Hey Seph, wanna watch a stupid chick flick and eat our feelings away?" She's knows me so well "hell yes I do" I respond sitting up grumpily. "You know I got this costumer today, he looked familiar" I say to Liz hoping that if I describe him she'll be able to help. "What was his name?" Damnit I was too much of a smartass to even think of a name. "Not sure, but he was about six feet, he's a cop, the most gorgeous eyes black hair and a little bit of facial hair". I wasn't prepared for what was about to happen.
