"Do you like trees?"

Summer puffs out an aggravated sound between a sigh and a groan.
"Yes." She answers, a slight bitterness in her tone.

"Why?"

"Ohh.. my God- are we there yet?"
Summer ignores the question, out of the millions of questions that were asked the entire walk back, they weren't even good questions, they were dumb questions asked to annoy her.

"Oh, almost!" Amera as her goal to irritate her succeeded. She liked getting her worked up, she would whine and throw something of a fit whenever she did. So she did it intentionally.
They came up upon where Amera had first entered the forest from, Summer couldn't quite tell, but Amera could. From the look of the roots of ferns ripped up from the ground in a path of moss, snapped twigs and bushes that had been visibly trampled upon, it wasn't hard to tell.

"There!"

Amera bouncily trots ahead of her, crouching in front of a little bush, of where berries used to be.
"A little help?"

On the other hand, Summer daintily walks over, crouching down, her dress puddling around her beautifully.
Something straight out of a fantasy is what she looked like.
"Wait, I've been here. What happened to them?" She asks, puzzled.

"Oh, well my mom wanted to make strawberry crumble, and i also really like strawberries."

"Are they your favorite?"
Questions the fairy, a glint of curiosity in her eyes.

"Mhm."

Summer smiles a little, leaning down a bit and kissing a stem of where a berry had been picked.

Nothing happens.

Wait.

A tiny green little bud makes itself known upon the stem, and it slowly grows, and along with it, so do others, all blooming together as one.

Taken aback, Amera stays silent a moment. Another moment. Then reaches for the strawberry that grew on the stem that was kissed, and takes a bite out of it while looking at Summer.
"That was cool." She smiles, savoring the sweet taste of a freshly grown strawberry.
"If someone were to say.. get hurt, would you kiss them and then, poof, all better, riiiiight?"

Summer purses her lips, a bit flushed at the attention drawn on her.
"Um. I don't know, uh, maybe?"

"Oh my God, let's find out!!"

Summer sputters quickly.
"W-wh- no! No, don't hurt yourself!"
She grabs her by the wrist and holds her where she is in a gentle, firm grip before she does something stupid.

"Fine, fine." Amera sits back down in the grass, beside Summer.
"You already care about me?"
She teases, tone playfully mocking as she smiles at Summer.
"Aww."

"I care about everyone, you're not special."
The fairy fights back a smile, making its way upon her lips.

"Aww, about everyone?"
She coos, teasing again, resting her chin in her palm as she smiles warmly at the cute fairy, that tried miserably to hide how shy she was, and failed.
Again.
