“___! You’re not standing close enough to him!” Chris yells over to me, motioning me with his hand to move closer to Lewis. “Oh, woops….sorry.” I step closer then set down my script. “Alright….And, ACTION!” He yells sitting on a tree stump while watching through a video camera. “Jake! Admit it! We’re lost!” I growl crossing my arms, “Carly, we’re not lost! Look! See! This tree! We’re on the right track.” He pats the tree next to us, “That tree, looks like all the other ones! Give me the map!” I hold out my hand, “N-no!” “Why not!” “I….uh….I….” “CUT!” Chris hollers walking over. “I lost it ok? But I know where we are! That is your line! Also stop acting like you‘re scared of her, it should be the other way round.” He frowns crossing is arms. “We’ve been out here forever….I need to go home or my dad will get mad at me.” I say picking up my backpack. “Aw what? ___! You can’t leave now! We have work to do!” Chris grabs my arm. “We can continue tomorrow, it’s almost six. And we shouldn’t even be in this forest. The gate was only open because someone came by and cut the padlock off.” I explain turning to face the dirt trail. “Bummer….alright but tomorrow we come back and see that abandon fair then the factory!” Chris smiles walking over and starts packing up the cameras and lights. “Those are both closed off though….” Lewis speaks picking up his things. “So? We can climb the fences.” Chris scoffs, heaving his pack over his shoulder, “Not to the factory, I’ve done some research, and found out the fences have chicken wire on top. We can’t climb, and the gate has like a million locks on it.” I speak heading down the trail.
“Jeez….You’re such a downer ___….” Chris pouts catching up to me, “How am I a downer? I’m just giving you important facts!” I talk back shoving my hands into the large pockets in my baggy army pants. “You really fit Carly’s style you know that?” Lewis asks walking over to my right. “Thanks, I think.” I shrug, looking down at the black tank top and baggy army pants. “Practice your lines, and maybe put green highlights in your hair.” Chris bosses looking through the scripts. “You’re so BOSSY! God man….you’re like the dance mom only for the actors! And you’re not even a mom!” Lewis rants turning his head away. “Oh yeah? Well maybe you should work harder for your pay!” “You don’t pay us….and he’s right.” I say cocking an eyebrow. Chris just rolls his eyes and pouts.
“Do you think we’ll see any CreepyPasta?” Lewis questions looking over at us, “They aren’t real, you idiot.” Chris spits crossing his arms, “You don’t know that….” I mention turning my head to face him. It goes quiet as we mind our own business. As we pass by a tree I catch a glance of dirty notebook paper stuck to it. “See? They are real! S lender man put that there!” Lewis sneers crossing his arms and walking over with Chris. “Anyone could have stuck this here! It was probably done by who ever cut the padlock!” He growls reaching up and pulling the paper off, “DON’T!” Lewis yells a little to late. “What?” Chris question tilting his head in an arrogant way. Just then a tree a little ways down the path behind us collapses. “Nice going you killed a helpless tree.” I scoff crossing my arms. “C’mon let’s go home before you kill mother nature too.” I start walking again and they carefully follow behind. “_-___! That tree falling down didn’t bother you?” Lewis asks shaking slightly, “These trees, are old, thin, and wilting, I could push one over. It was most likely an animal.” I shrug, looking up at the cloudy, brownish gray, skies.
“AH! What was that!” Lewis shrikes running up and staying close to me. “Calm down, you can see the exit from here. If it closes we can climb the fence.” I say patting his shoulder. “Unlike the fat chick in the games who can’t run to save herself.” “It wouldn’t do her any good anyway, he gets her at the end, with or without the eight pages.” I say crossing my arms still staring up at the sky. “What’s the whole point of that game then!” Chris yells throwing his arms in the air dramatically. “To give you a challenge, and make you as paranoid as humanly possible. Simple game play like that makes you want more.” I explain looking over at the two boys. “Still doesn’t make since.” “It doesn’t have too.” I roll my eyes as we inch closer to the exit gate, “There isn’t anything sticky on this to make it stay on the tree….how does that work?” Lewis asks flipping the paper around, “Maybe it was jabbed onto a branch.” Chris mumbles shaking his head. We finally make it out of the exit and onto the main trail out of the woods. I close the gate placing the broken lock back on it just for show to keep anyone else out. A random cold shiver rolls down my spin as I turn away, making me peek back only slightly. “There’s nothing out there….just your imagination….” I whisper to myself, slow jogging to rejoin the boys who didn’t know I strayed behind, leaving the forest, never noticing what watched from the trees.
“Can we come over and watch you edit the videos ___?” Lewis asks, “Why do we have to do it on my computer?” I ask tilting my head, “Because! You have the BEST computer right now, mine’s to slow and Lewis’s is straight up old.” Chris answers as we finally start walking on the main road’s sidewalk. “Yeah whatever….” I shrug as we walk into Monster’s Ice cream shop and sit at a booth. Wonder why it’s called ‘Monster’s’ Ice cream shop? Because it’s extremely cheap, best tasting, only size is large, all you can eat on Friday, and only one spot in town to get it Ice cream. A place for stupid teenage boys to come and dare each other to see how any buckets of ice cream they can eat in half an hour. “Hi! Welcome to Monster’s Ice cream shop, how may I help you?” A teen boy about the age of twenty comes over. “Hey! I’d like one chocolate fudge mountain to go,” Chris orders, “A vanilla rainbow river to go for me.” Lewis says, “And a (Flavor) hailstorm to go please.” I smile looking up at him. He nods and walks behind the counter. “I love this place!” Chris cheers fist pumping, Lewis and I roll our eyes giving a similar look of ‘whatever man’. I rest my chin in my hand as my elbow rests on the table, and I look out the large glass window. I scan the alleyways waiting for the guy to return with our orders. I catch glimpse something and I squint trying to see it better. It looks like someone in a white hoodie and black jeans. I can’t see their face though, because every time I bend forward to get a better look they hide even more behind the wall. “___?” I jerk my head back at Chris’s voice as he slides the large plastic bucket over to me. “Right, thanks! Let’s go now before my dad padlocks me in my room for being late.” I speak standing up and they follow. I glance one last time at the alleyway but nothing’s there. ‘I need to stop playing so many CreepyPasta games before bed….’ I think shaking my head and we head for the door.
We walk out of the shop with our buckets of ice cream and start walking down the street to my house. I suddenly couldn’t shake the feeling that person is still in that alley watching us. I shiver again picking up my pace making the boys walk faster as well. “Dad! I’m home~! I bring friends and ice cream!” I call opening the front door letting the them in. No one answers. “Must be a later run at work….” I sigh walking into the kitchen and put the now slightly warm cream into the freezer. I walk back out and we head up to my room, so I can edit the video we shot. “So what’s this, like three days worth of film?” I ask plugging the camera up to my desk top. Chris gives a nod sitting on my bed while Lewis sat on the floor. “Great.” I say sarcastically sitting in my desk chair the open the files.
An hour passes and I finish all the film, editing every clip, big or small. How ever, going through the forest scenes, I kept thinking I saw something move in the dissents, but my zoom just makes the picture more blurry so I can’t tell what it is. “Alright you guys this is done.” I say slumping back in my chair, stretching my arms over my head, with a yawn. “Uh….” Chris groans rubbing his stomach. “I told you, you shouldn’t eat all the ice cream, and now what happened?” I say smugly, standing from the chair. “Thanks for doing this for me ___! This was a big help! Can’t wait to start filming tomorrow! C’mon Lewis.” “Bye ___, see you whenever~” Lewis smiles and walks with Chris to the door and we all walk downstairs to the door. “See you guys! Be safe.” I wave them off as they start walking down the sidewalk to their houses. I sigh closing my eyes, and sliding down the door onto the floor. “Ugh….long day.” I mumble standing up, then walk over to the phone and dialing Pop’s pizza house. “Hello, can I get a medium cheese pizza please? Delivery. Thanks.” I hang up the phone then walk over and plop down onto the couch turning the T.V on. ‘Ugh news….’
“Today two men were found dead in their home, just off of (Hometown). One was found in the kitchen with a horrifying smile carved into his cheeks, while the other was in his bedroom also found with a large smile carved into his face, both had deep stab wounds which lead to bleeding out, then death. Terrible deaths indeed. We urge everyone in and around these areas to keep your doors and windows locked at all times. We’re tracking the one who did this right now, well be back with more information soon. Here’s Carry with the weather.” I sit wide eyed with my mouth agape. I quickly stand to my feet and fast walk around the house to make sure everything was well locked. Once I did that I went back and sat on the couch turning the T.V on again. I flip through the channels to find almost nothing but news so I stop at another person talking. “We’re still investigating the murder of the Goldwind family up on Bio, St. in (Hometown).” I shake my head and flip the channel. “Just last week a woman was found murdered in her house on (Street Name) last week.” I squeak turning the T.V off. “Must be why dad’s so late….” I whisper placing a hand on my chest over my heart. I hear a startling knock at the door and I fling from my seat. “Pizza!” A male voice calls from the other side, I sigh and open the door. “Hi John. Thanks for this~” I smile at him taking the box then pay him. “Welcome ___! Be safe ok?” He furrows his brows, “You saw the news too? Man…Hey, you stay safe too alright?” We nod and then I close the door. I set the box on the counter in the kitchen taking a piece out then place the whole box into the fridge for later. No longer hungry after the news. I walk up stairs and into the bathroom to take a long bubble bath.
I lay back in the warm super bubbly water sighing slightly before shutting my eyes.
????? POV:
She closed her eyes so I got closer to the bathroom window, but still staying hidden in the shadows. I couldn’t turn my eyes away from her long (S/C) legs that poke out of the bubbly water, as she shifts them around. I look up at her calm face as she relaxes in the steamy room. She was with those two boys in the forest today, the ones who took one of the pages. It was hard seeing her from the trees but now that I’m closer I see she’s a lot different then most girls I’ve seen before. Her (E/C) eyes have a shine to them even with the cloudy weather, perfect peachy, large heart shaped lips, shiny (H/C) hair, and a perfect smile just like mine. She’s really pretty, and seems like a good person….I want to meet her….I inch closer on the tree branch to the bathroom window to see her better. She preps and stands up, soft looking white bubble cover her silk like body, shielding her from my eyes. I felt a weird warmness in my cheeks as she swipes the suds off. I fall back out of the tree onto my back at the sound of a car door shutting in the driveway. With a groan I sit up and see a man in a military suit walk up to the front door and unlock it. I sneak around to the front of the house and watch through the windows at the man as he speaks.
Normal POV:
“___! I’m home! Sorry I’m late, there’s been a lot of work lately….” Dad says as I walk down the steps in my P.J’s. “Hi dad, yeah….I saw on the news….” “What did I tell you about watching that?” He scolds hanging up his coat. “I know, I know! Anyways there’s pizza in the fridge and ice cream in the freezer.” I say walking over to the front door and making sure it’s locked. “___, we’re safe ok? Plus you have me here and the pistol in your room. I won’t let those things happen to you.” He pats my head then shoves a piece of pizza in his mouth. “If you say so….” I shrug and walk to the stairs, “Going to bed! Goodnight.” I speak walking up then to my room. “Sleep well!” He yells before shoving more pizza into mouth. “Yeah….I’ll try….” I sigh closing my door behind me then getting into bed.
