Never in my entire life had I thought that I'd go to Vidcon. Never.
It was more of a dream, a fantasy that I'd only live out while watching my favourite YouTubers.
I wasn't much of a going outside and living person- I'd rather watch Netflix in bed. Not that my parents knew I had it, but eh.
It was coming up to my 19th birthday, and my mum was practically begging me to find a flat. When I was younger she was sure I'd be successful and find a job somewhere awesome. And move out.
Tell that to my boss at Subway.
The only reason I worked there was because one day I was finding a job whilst I was watching The Odd 1s Out, coincidentally my second favourite YouTuber, and he was talking about his experience as a 'Sooubway worker'.
I thought about it for a moment and decided to see if there was any openings for a sandwich maker.
Nope. I ended up as a caretaker and found myself mopping the stone floors.
As I laid in bed one Friday morning, the loud noises of cars passing on the motorway keeping me awake, I couldn't believe my eyes.
My dad had come in all secretive, holding an envelope. I raised my eyebrow and placed my phone down on my bedside, taking the envelope from him.
Inside were two tickets to Vidcon, London!
I almost felt like hugging my dad.
"Dad...we're too far away from London!"
He chuckled and sat on the side of my bed. "That's why you're going to your aunt Joyce's for the weekend too. With Jenny of course."
Jenny was my best friend, and she knew how much I wanted to go to Vidcon as I never stopped talking to her about it.
I gave in and hugged him, giggling from excitement.
"I better tell Jen!" I cried as he left the room.
~James' POV~
I looked around the hotel room with a grin.
"Very...snazzy." I said, causing Jaiden to laugh by the door.
"Isn't it just?" She replied in a British accent.
"Ah, yes." I said back in an equally ridiculous manner. I placed my bags on the floor.
"I'm hungry, want to head out?" Jaiden piped up again, leaning on the open door.
"Sure, where shall we go?"
She smiled for a moment. "Sooubway."
I laughed and grabbed the room key. "Let's go to Sooubway!" I shouted in the ridiculous British accent.
"Shhh you moron." Jaiden complained as we neared the elevator.
~y/n's POV, 1 hour later~
I wound the crappy car window down and leaned slightly out of the window.
"Woooooo!" I shouted, and Jen grabbed my arm and yanked me back inside.
"Do you want me to get a fine?" She joked, the sounds of Radio One filling the small crappy Mini.
"Of course. Merry Christmas, here's your fine." I replied sarcastically but kept the tone light.
"Haha. Now SHUSH." She turned the Radio up. "My favourite song is on."
Senorita played as we drove along the long motorway, London gradually getting closer and closer.
"Where the heck is your Aunt's house anyway?" Jen was asking as we drove around this little bit of suburbia.
"Um...number 27 I think?"
She gave me a look.
"You think."
"I haven't been here in years! Gimme a break."
Eventually we did find the house and we lugged our bags in, my Aunt Joyce being ecstatic at our arrival.
"Oh, dears it's so lovely to see you!"
"Its nice to see you too Joy." I said, hugging her. She directed us to our shared room and I smiled at the familiarity.
"My Little Pony wallpaper?" Jen asked, grinning. "I didnt take you for the pegasister-"
I promptly hit her over the head with my pillow.
