It was just a nice sunny day in the summer, only a few clouds passed by the afternoon sun. Cake and I were walking back to our treehouse after a long mission trying to help Prince Gumball with a few science experiments in his lab, he was trying to find a cure for some disease I didn't know much about. Meh, his missions and things were always pretty boring, he never really excited me that much with really anything he does.

"What you wanna do later tonight after I cook us some bomb dinner!" Cake said while laughing slightly. She always had interesting dinners and various meals she cooked. "Uhhh.. I don't know yet, I'll have to think about something to do." I was lying, I just didn't want to tell her I was going to hang out with Marshall Lee after dinner, Cake hasn't liked Marshall ever since the incident that happened at Lumpy Space Princes party that one night, she said he was bad news and needed to stay away from us from that night since. I know she's just worried that he's going to hurt me, but I know he would not hurt me on purpose, I've just been especially drawn to him ever since that night, I can't help it but it's just something about how he talks to me, It's different than how he talks to other people, but I'm just very attracted to him. Do I know why? Certainly not, but i'm not complaining either.

"Do you want to invite some friends over and play video games on BMO?" Cake asked. I needed to make an excuse so it would be easier to leave the house later after Cake falls asleep. "That sounds fun but I kind of just want to relax tonight, I might just go to sleep early." I definitely wasn't going to bed early, i'll be awake until sunrise most likely. I felt bad for lying to Cake but I really wanted to see Marshall Lee tonight, it's been a few days since I've seen him since. "Okay that's fine, I might go to the candy kingdom and see what everyones up to ya know?" Cake said. I was relieved, I could leave the treehouse without having to worry if she was watching my every move or not, I just hope she actually goes instead of saying she will.

We finally got back to the treehouse after a bit of walking back from the candy kingdom, I flopped on the couch while Cake started making dinner for the night. "What are you making tonight again?" I asked. It looked like she was starting to cook some noodles, whatever it was it smelled delicious. "I'm making pasta alfredo with a wine based sauce, It's gonna be really good too!"

After about 20 or so minutes, the dinner was ready, Cake brought me a plate full of tasty looking pasta, I dug in right away and it was delicious! "Damn Cake this shits good, probably the best pasta alfredo i've ever eaten." I said, Cake grinned eagerly. "Well I'm glad you really like it! It sure is good." I finished the rest of my pasta and put the dishes in the sink. I flopped back on the couch and groaned to myself, I was tired and wanted to rest.

"Hey Cake i'm going to go lay down for a bit, I'm exhausted after today," Cake didn't really pay attention to me because she was playing BMO. "Okay have fun" Cake replied after a few seconds of silence, I just laughed to myself and went upstairs to my bed.

When I got to my bed I pulled my laptop out from under my pillow and switched it on, I needed to check if there was any new messages from Marshall Lee. Soon enough, after logging in a few messages popped up. "Hey we still hanging out tonight? ;)" It read. He sent that about 2 hours ago at 6PM, It was now 8 and the sun was starting to set below the horizon, peeking through the curtains of my window. I quickly wrote a message back to him. "Of course! Come on and get me soon!" I clicked send and waited. It wasn't long before he replied back with a simple "Okay, I'll be there by 8:30." I was really looking forward to seeing him.

I quickly straightened myself up and brushed my hair, put on a little bit of perfume and adjusted my clothes. I examined myself in the mirror next to my bed and smiled to myself. I checked my computer screen for anymore messages, none popped up but it was getting close to 8:30 anyway.

I flopped back on my bed and sighed, not even a couple minutes later I kept hearing tapping noises on the roof of the treehouse. I figured it was him so I opened the window. I looked outside towards the roof and heard the slight humming of his guitar, "Marshall Lee!" I called out somewhat silently. He soon then floats down and gently enters my window barely without a sound.
