December 18, 2019:  This is my personal diary of the accounts that have happened since Miss Carol has been left in our home. She has been here since close to the beginning of December. It is my understanding that she and her son, Jeremy have been living with Frankie and his fake wife, Robin.  Frankie and Robin have taken severe advantage of us in the past. We have given them cash, food, clothes for their kids, and many other things. Duce has also loaned them many of his tools. They turned out to be the kind of people that when you were generous, they wanted more. When we said "Enough, you need to take care of yourselves now," they lost their water, their electricity, their children, and when in court the father failed a drug test. So the story that while all of this was happening when Carol and Jeremy went to live with them, it was believable that Frankie and Robin stole their money and fled, especially when Duce found several of his possessions that Frankie claimed he did not have. We also found out that there were many items of ours that Frankie and Robin pawned, making me wonder about my 75 dollar camera that they claimed "Somebody stole it." We even found in their house, an outside ornament that decorated our tree. My mother in law bought that spinning rainbow top months ago. I have no idea why anyone would steal an ornament and take it in their house.  Anyway, Carol and Jeremy were left with no place to go. We took Carol in with Jeremy's permission to watch over her while he worked and collected money for them to get their own place. While she has been here, I have observed that she doesn't exactly have a full deck upstairs. I am concerned that she may become a liability for us, but at the moment we are apparently all she has. This record is for my family's own protection if in the event anyone tries to con us.  Let me make it clear that Carol is not happy here. She says "I miss my son" quite often. She often paces throughout the day, chewing on her hair. I've attempted to make her comfortable, offering her books, the TV remote, and idle conversation when possible. She appears put out when I have to put in the time to educate my son as he is in a virtual school program with Connections Academy. I'm not aware of how much clothes she has, and I may need to talk with my mother in law about handing her some clothes of ours. She might fit my pants, but I doubt my shirts. She has yet to ask to wash any of her personal belongings, and even after she takes a bath, she still smells. I am hoping that it's just her clothes. Otherwise, Miss Carol is losing her state of mind on basic hygiene. I worry that it's not the best. She had a spill of her cigarette ashes on my daughters bed that she sleeps in, and I found a fallen can of soda that was not quite empty that had spilled on the floor.  I'll admit there are some things in our house that could make her more comfortable but can't be helped. For one thing, our hot water heater is out. I have to heat a pot of water on the stove anytime we take a bath, and put it in a hard boil so we can add more water to cool it off and have somewhat of a comfortable bath. I also had to tell Carol several times not to use the hallway toilet. If it's an emergency, that's different. It is better to use the hall bathroom while the only working one is in use, and then use a bucket to flush. But Carol used the hall bathroom continuously, making it take longer to go down, and the water would rise higher with every use. I finally had to tell her "If you keep using that toilet, the next time it will over flow." I then had to tell her again when I observed that she peed in there and then dumped some Pine-Sol in the toilet. "I only peed in it...Oh, I only thought I couldn't poop in it." And then later that night, "I forgot..." While she was standing there, I asked her to look in the pot so she could see for herself how long it was taking to flush now. She has stopped using the toilet. And I am worried for it, because I don't see her using my mother in law's toilet either.  I fear that we are too deep over our heads. On the one hand, nobody wants to make an old woman homeless, especially this close to Christmas. On the other hand, I have heard rumors about Jeremy that make me uneasy. From Carol's own mouth, she told me that she was staying with another group of people that she hardly knew, and that they called the nursing home on her "because they didn't want to deal with it." Jeremy apparently was in the same predicament he has now. I see two possibilities: 1) he has a terrible amount of bad luck, 2) we're next in line. I'm afraid that I don't know him that well to be able to point at one or the other with absolute certainty. So once again, I am making a log of events for our personal benefit.  At the moment, it doesn't look too good. Carol tried to call Jeremy today several times in a row. He never answered. My husband Duce said "He doesn't answer, you need to text him first." Carol ignored him and kept attempting to call. Almost immediately, Jeremy sent a text that he should be here around lunch time. Carol said "Does he promise?" He never came. I'm not liking this at all.  So, from this point on, I will keep a daily record of the comings and goings of Miss Carol and her son, Jeremy. As of now, it is almost 9. It was a typical Wednesday, of school, virtual teachings, Therapy Ops, and Awanas. At the moment, Miss Carol is currently sleeping in the girls' room. While she's been here, they've been sleeping on the living room couches. Tonight all is well, though I imagine she is sorely disappointed in her son for not seeing her today.
