- introducing me -
"I know this is hard for you, it's hard for me too," he brushed the inside of her hair. "I'm sorry, but we just aren't meant to be." Greyson Poath was on his way to breaking up with another girl this week. He gave her a small kiss and waved her off. Not long after, his more than annoying best friend Ryan Locus arrived to the scene.
"Dude. Is that the fourth chick this week!" Ryan chimed. He and Greyson fist bumped, "Never knew you had it in you."
"Uh, yeah you did," Greyson grinned, he wasn't heartbroken anymore, what an act. What a douche. "That was Amanda. Hottest chick in ninth grade!" He announced to the entire hall, all the other girls stared in disgust, wondering what Amanda would think if she heard Greyson say something like that aloud.
"Don't girls get it by now?" Ryan sighed. "They know who you are, know what you do, and yet they keep coming to you!"
"What can I say Ryan. It's a gift. I'm a gift," Greyson spoke of himself as if he were a god, high in power. Again. What a douchebag! "They call me what they want. A player, womanizer, chick magnet, cheater, but they always want more."
"Listen, Grey," Ryan lowered his voice. "Since this is our last year of high school. Three months from now Imma throw the biggest year end party ever! And I want you to do me a big favour."
Greyson nodded his head and listened to Ryan. Any favour is never big enough. Ryan really helped Greyson through middle school.
"I want you to finally get your ass out there and become the coolest guy in school!" he yelped. "I want you to hook up and break up, with ten girls at the party, that night!"
Greyson sighed, but then shrugged his shoulders. "A challenge. I like it." He agreed with Ryan then caught a girl's eye. "Oh. Hottie down the hall, gotta go," he sped up to walk with her. "I never knew models went to public school," Ryan overheard Greyson charm to the girl. He grinned, that's his bud.
- month one -
"Just overheard some girls call you a slime bag," Ryan sat down at the cafeteria table across from Greyson.
"Where?" Greyson questioned. Ryan pointed to two tables in front of them, Greyson started to snicker. "That's Kristie, Carla and Shani. Dated all three of them at the same time two months ago," he admitted.
"Sweet," Ryan embraced his friend's awesomeness. "Listen. Have you picked out the ten girls you're gonna dazzle at my party?"
Greyson took a sip of his Coke then answered. "First, never say dazzle." He made a shaking and trembling gesture. "And second. Not yet, but don't worry. There's plenty of fish in the sea."
"Yeah, but most of the fish are now hearing about how much of a shark you are!" Ryan reminded. Greyson did an eye roll. He shrugged it off. "You've got two months to choose bro, don't let me down."
"I won't." The bell rang and lunch was finally over. Greyson left the table. "Can't forget to break up with Maggie," he texted Maggie, his twenty eighth girlfriend, that they were through, but it's not her. It's him. This guy needs to get over himself.
- month two -
It's eight in the morning. Greyson walked into the school lifeless, tired, bummed out because it was the morning. Until he walked over to his locker.
He sighed, all days began badly. As he started to put in his combination he saw something from the side of his eye. He turned his head to see a girl two lockers away from him. Didn't recognise her.
