ZACH'S POINT OF VIEW
''So what's up with that Kylee girl?'' Cameron said, and I could hear Michael chuckling.
''Nothing. Okay, she was the one who came up to me.''
''She's pretty though.'' Michael said.
''I know she really is.''
''The girls looked nice, I mean they seem well to get along.'' Cameron said, and Michael nodded.
''Gabriela. I can't get her reaction out of my head.''
''When you asked her to help you?'' Michael suggested, and I nodded in agreement.
''She was so quiet and shy.'' Cameron said, looking at me. ''She is so not your type dude.''
I chuckled. ''I don't even have a type.'' Michael laughed and grabbed a sip of his Coke.
The All The Way tour was finally over, and I was back here in Cali. It was so good to see my family and friends.
''Zach, we missed you so much.''
''Same here mom. How is everything going?''
''Everything's pretty cool. Nothing new.''
''That's great.'' I gave her a quick smile and checked my phone. I had two missed calls from Hannah. Hannah was some sort of lover, but we never got into something serious because I was going on tour, and we were planning on making it serious after it, but right now I am not so sure about it.
''Zachary. Where are you? I've been missing you so much.''
''Hannah, yeah me too. We need to talk, you know-''
''Yes! It's a yes.''
''Let me finish. I need to see you, so we can talk about it, you know?''
''Sure.''
''See you in 30 minutes, at McDonalds, okay?''
''Okay.'' She hung up and I headed to McDonalds.
I got there, and she was already waiting for me.
''I'm sorry I made you wait.'' She grabbed my hand and smiled.
''That's okay. Zach, I love you. I waited for you and I think it's time to take a new step.''
''Hannah, forgive me. I don't feel like we are going to get somewhere. I mean I love you, but this tour made me realize that I don't love you enough to be in a relationship with you.''
''But, I don't want to be friends with benefits, either.''
''I'm not asking you that. I'm just trying to say that we should stay as friends.''
She let go of my hand and gave me a quick smile. ''As you wish, Porter.'' She left the restaurant as soon as the stood up and I felt horrible.
I got home and no one was there, no surprise. I grabbed a book and started reading it and suddenly that Gabriela girl came into my mind. I felt my phone vibrating and I answer it, it was Michael.
''Dude, Hannah called me crying. What's up with you?''
''Dude, I don't know. I just don't feel a thing. I like her but-''
''That's okay, no need to give me reasons but just think twice. She really loves you.''
''Okay, um, do you remember that Gabriela girl?''
''Yes, why?''
''No, I was just wondering. Talk to you later, I have to do something.''
''Sure.'' I hung up and put my book away. I couldn't erase that image of her from my head, I still remember her brown eyes and everything about Kylee. I don't even know why, but I feel this need to talk to her and tell her that Kylee is nothing compared to her, but I don't have her number, I don't know exactly where she lives. Maybe she's the reason why I don't think about Hannah like I did before, but maybe Michael is right. Maybe I should think twice about saying no to Hannah.
It was dinner time and it was dad's night to cook. He made lasagna, which was mom's favorite. Mom, dad and Victor were talking about college and I couldn't stop thinking about Gabriela. WHY. WHY. I still don't get it.
''Zach?''
''Sorry, mom. I know you guys are talking about college and-''
''What's wrong?''
''Um...Hannah stuff. I'm going to get some rest. Good night.'' I left the table and headed to my room. I tucked myself in bed and closed my eyes.
