A Cold Day

Little kids screamed in joy as they ran about the pizzeria, some chasing others, while others threw pizza at each other.
As you watched the chaos erupt, you snuggled into your scarf around your neck, hand in your pockets and your security cap down.

Usually it would be to hot in the pizzeria but today, on probably the coldest day of the year, the heaters decided to stop working. So you stood there in the corner like a shady person watching kids, wrapped up in your scarf.

The revamped animatronics made their way across the pizzeria too, as well as the toys. You watched them will a frown, your emotions seemed to have a mind of their own at this time of the month.

Then out of the blue,
Mike walked up to you with a mop and a bucket, holding them both out to you.

"It's not Christmas yet Mike so it's a bit early for presents" You sighed, not bothering to move your slightly warm hands.

"No dumbass. The Kentucky fried fucks decided to trash the kitchen last night and Fritz needs help cleaning it."

"You do it. Anyway I thought they were on 'proper night modes'" You huffed, sparing him a quick glance.

"That's next week" Then that annoying purple man showed up with a plate full of toast.

After that little date you two had, Vincent seems to of completely forgot about it. Every time you went to apologise he simply got snappy and ended up walking away.

"Don't they need night guards?" You asked finally looking up at the two men, slightly shaking due to the cold. It's surprising how children don't seem to feel the cold sometimes.

"Fun fact, boss got a dumb teenager to do it this week for a really cheap pay. Cheaper than he paid us as a matter of fact."  Scott suddenly appeared, honestly these guys seemed to appear out of no where at times.

"Oh" You simply answered and frowned.

Scott looked at you with a raised eyebrow, probably looking at you wearing a scarf which most likely wasn't allowed. Luckily he didn't say anything.

Suddenly the kitchen doors flung open, revealing a distressed Fritz holding a frying pan and a sponge.
"Are any of you lazy asses going to help me?!"
He sort of whispered/shouted somehow.

"Nah" Vincent gave you a wink before walking off probably to slack off in the parts and service room.

"Gotta sort out food bills and stuff" Scott answered, with a sarcastic smile and thumbs up before also walking off which left you with Mike.

Before you could reply to Fritz, Mike shoved the mop and bucket full of water onto you so you unwillingly had to take it.
"Can't do, sorry bud. Gotta help out the dweeb. Looks like he's stuck in the ball pit again"

Mike gestured over to the ball pit where unsurprisingly was a struggling Jeremy getting plastic balls thrown at him and the odd kid trying to steal his hat or even climb on him.
You couldn't help but chuckle at the sight.

"See you losers later" Mike waved with a smirk, knowing that he just gave you the job of cleaning the whole kitchen instead of himself.

"Eat a dick Mike" You yelled after him with a sigh, placing the bucket down as you readjusted your grip on the mop.

"That time of the month is it?" He yelled back, not even looking back at you.
Even though he wasn't looking you sent him a glare and stuck your middle finger up at him.
