"Nobody move!" She whispered loudly. She knew that this may not have worked but it was the only option she had on the table at the moment. She wasn't gonna become a bite sized meal for a carnivorous giant. This wasn't at all what I had planned when I wanted to go visit my brother, she thought frantically.
She slowly glanced around. Derek's little brother looked like he was wanted to scream, but was wise to hold it in. A couple other people were shaking slightly from where they stood.
The T-Rex picked through the plane. She could see it eating bodies from where she stood. A scream erupted behind the Rex. The T-Rex swung its wide head towards the sound which continued. Giving a roar, it stomped off in the directions of its irritation.
Heaving a sigh, she looked towards the Captain. "Are you okay?"
The Captain gave a nod of his head but didn't speak as he adjusted his seating position. Satania strained her ears and breathed an even deeper sigh when the T-Rex roared again it sounded a good ways in the distance.
"Is anyone here a Doctor?" She raised her voice so everyone would hear her.
"I'm a nurse, not a doctor", a woman said, stepping forward. She was dressed in a white blouse with a black shirt. Her blond hair hung down in her face. The ends matted with blood from her cheek, which was cut up.
"A nurse will do", Satania said. "Check the wounded. Head wounds are a top priority. Any life threatening injuries are even higher on the priorities list."
The woman nodded and starting moving amongst the survivors. Craig made his way up to her. "I never got your name", he said.
"Satania", she replied.
"Just between the two of us, do you think we'll get off the island?" he asked.
"I don't know", she admitted. "I hope so".
Rustling off to their right got their attention. A moment later, a man emerged. He was dressed in a brown leather coat with beige colored pants. His brown hair was ruffled by the wind. His blue eyes were friendly, but haunted.
"Glad to see we're not the only ones on this piece of dirt", he said. "How did you guys get here?"
"Our plane crashed", Craig answered, before Satania could open her mouth to reply. Why the heck are we even talking with a complete stranger? Was that wise? She wondered. Maybe he could be an enemy.
"Mine too", the man said. "Actually my whole squad did."
"Squad?" Satania asked.
The man turned to her. "Yeah, my squad. Flight 19".
"Flight 1..." she trailed off. If Flight 19 was here, there only is one place they'd be.
"We're in the Bermuda Triangle", Craig burst out, beating her to it.
The man nodded. "Yeah. What year is it anyway?"
"2017", Satania replied.
The man's eyes widened, before he sighed. "So everyone I knew would be dead by now", he told himself.
Satania tried to give him a reassuring smile, but it came off as more of a grimace. If he'd been here since 1945 then why did he look like he was still only just thirty years old? Did time never age here?
"Where's the rest of your squad?" she asked.
"Back at our hideout", he answered. "I'd rather be the one out trekking around than get them killed if there's a way off this damn island."
"Did you see where the other half of the plane went?" A woman asked hopefully.
"The tail section fell into the ocean. Either the Megalodon will get them or the Mosasaurs will", he said bluntly.
