A useless dream

"you're coming with me." muttered Mudobe, carrying me into a large cave.

Inside the cave, was a wall of rock hard ice. Mudobe set me down and blasted fire at it. The ice melted slowly and took some effort for Mudobe to clear the obstacle.

Once the ice was melted, Mudobe picked me up again and leaped over the puddle that was left behind. "be quiet and don't talk to anybody." he muttered, carrying me through a curtain of shadows.

Behind the curtain, was a sort of...club I suppose? There were many Pokemon, of all shapes and sizes. Scythers, Bisharps, Scraftys, Brelooms, Sableyes, Growlithes, Skaromies, Drowzees, Honchkrows. Every Pokemon imaginable (well except for legendaries) was here in this small section of a cave. But one thing I noticed was that there were no Umbreons.

A muscular, yet skinny Infernape walked over to my brother. "Mudobe! Long time no see! How have you been doing?" he asked, his voice was hoarse as if he had been yelling for a long time. "Strabek! I've been doing great, my, the last time I saw you, you were just a monferno!" Mubobe said, chuckling. "hey, how bout a battle?" asked Strabek. "oh, you're on! Don't expect to win this time!" Mudobe said, a wide grin spread across his face. 'oh yeah,' I thought, 'let's see how the big guys do it!'

Now I've seen many battles in my lifetime. But none of them were as insane as the one happening before my eyes.

As a small clearing was made for the two, you could hear tiny whispers fluttering around the rivals. A Lucario walked in between the two. He raised up an arm saying,

"three...

Two......

One........

Let the battle begin." he immediately bolted away into the crowd to avoid being hit by one of the Pokemon.

Right after the Lucario left, Mudobe blasted out fire in the form of a star. Fire Blast. But Strabek easily jumped up and dodged it, closing in on Mudobe and using Close Combat. But right when Strabek was about to hit, my brother did something strange. He used Close Combat too. 'two Pokemon. Using the same move. At the same time. When it's impossible for one to use that move. And it never learned Me First. How. Did. This. Happen.' I thought. As the two were Close Combatting each other still, Strabek jumped behind Mudobe, and used Flare Blitz while using Close Combat. Then, he made one last punch, and Mudobe fainted. Soon, I broke down crying. Not because my brother fainted, because I always dreamed of battling that way with Pelebach, like a double battle with us against the two strongest Pokemon in the world, and our teamwork would help us win. That dream was now useless.
