After pulling into a clothes store parking lot, he jumped out of the car with a gun from the rack. Flinging the doors wide open, he yelled "On the ground now!" All complied after the warning shot he'd fired into a register, killing the employee behind the counter. He briskly strolled through 3 aisles, grabbing what he wanted, and ran outside.
Scanner static and broadcasts came almost immediately when he started the cruiser back up. "Unknown suspect, last seen in a police vehicle, leaving the scene of an armed robbery and murder at local shop on corner of Dowtnown Main and South Main. Description: white male, approx. 4'7", black short hair. Possible link to barracks report CB544271. All nearby units, please respond, approach with caution."
He pulled into a nearby alley, parked the cruiser, took the rifle and shotgun, the second already been used, and ammunition for later. Quickly changing into new clothes, with hat and glasses, he tied the jail clothes together, into a makeshift rope, and got out. He found a shopping cart, a bit further down the alley, and dropped, the big guns inside the clothes that were bundled around them and the ammo, into it.
He walked back to the cruiser, opened the gas cap, and fed the cloth rope into the gas can. After it soaked a little gas into the end, he flipped it around, gas soaked tip hanging out of the car. Returning to the shopping cart, he saw a homeless man rummaging through his belongings; apparently it was his cart. He slammed his face against the handle of the cart twice, then shoved him over. He snatched the shotgun from the pile in the cart, and fired a shot at the cruiser.
Sparks flew from the side of the car, igniting the soaked rope. He strolled out of the alley, shopping cart laden with clothes, and proceeded down the street. Six seconds or so later, the alley erupted in flames and shrapnel, as the cruiser exploded, engulfing the alley in a blaze. After getting well out of the way of the scene, fire trucks and police sirens could be heard, heading to the incident. A diner was about a street and a half away, on the left. "Well, I'm kinda hungry, and I'm sure no one will look for me there."
