You would probably describe this day as messy.
Fairy Tail decided to have a pool party, and both respective parties agreed that today would be a celebratory day of their friendship. The weather was perfect for the occasion- the sun shined on your face that morning, and there wasn't a cloud to be seen in the expanse of the sky.
Everything went okay at first- everybody was responsible for food or drinks, and Sting and I brought soda and cups. Erza, of course, brought mountains upon mountains of strawberry cake (on a separate table that you suspiciously suspected was only meant for her consumption), while Gray brought ice pops in each and every colour.
The girls looked cute in their swimsuits- not that the guys noticed. They were too busy with ogling the floats on one side of the pool, which was shaped in a variety of fruits. You yourself were looking good in a white two-piece. The bottoms were more like shorts while the top revealed a generous amount of skin.
You were still waiting for Sting to compliment you.
Then things got weird. I suppose it should be things became normal- because the combination of Fairy Tail and Sabertooth was the definition of the word weird.
It started off with a violent water polo match.
Natsu, Gray, Elfman, and four other Fairy Tail members faced off against seven Sabertooth members. From the corner of your eye, you could see Yukino and Lucy swimming away in alarm, and the rest of the girls were at the other end of the pool. Not Erza, of course, she was refereeing the perilous match.
The girls were sitting on the poolside, swaying their legs in the water. Juvia was hiding behind a decorative waterfall, drooling at a shirtless Gray who was having way too much fun hitting Orga in the face with a water polo ball.
Oh, and you almost forgot- Rufus almost gulped down the entire pool the moment he dived into the water. This was because his pride got in the way of admitting he couldn't swim. At the moment, he was joining the toddlers in the shallow end practising floating like a sea star, his face bright pink.
You swim away from the girls calmly, heading to the ladder to get a drink.
Of course, that didn't work out, as you felt two, large hands gripping your waist. They pulled you down, and your head was dunked underwater. Twisting and turning, you face two mischievous cerulean eyes. Bubbles rise from his broad grin, and you stick your tongue out before kicking away.
Rising the surface, you glare at him. He is alight with glee- swimming forward, and pulling you into his embrace. His arms wrap around you, causing you to shiver despite the warm water.
"What was that for?" you breathe, and your noses touch.
"Couldn't help it," he shrugs, legs brushing against each other as you keep try and stay afloat. "you looked so cute and innocent in that swimsuit."
You burn at the compliment, even though 'cute' and 'innocent' wasn't really what you were going for.
"Wanna go off the pool slide with me?" he asks, cocking his head to the side. You noticed that some of his blond hair sticks to his forehead, while the rest stands up straight in a stubborn way. The pool slide, on the other hand, is long and twisting, that cut halfway into black so you have no idea where you're going or what will happen.
"Haven't you gone already?" you frown, not entirely against the idea.
"Yep. My record is 52 times in a row."
"Goddamnit Sting–"
