Chapter 1

I was staring at myself in the mirror. Long Blonde hair tied into a pony tail. A black blusher covering half of my pale face. My black dress is knee length and it fits perfectly on my small waist. My legs looked good as usual at my 5'2 frame. Tears slowly came down my face and I rushed to wipe them off.

I was on my way to my dead boyfriends funereal. Gavin was a great guy. He was in the army. He was loved by everyone. The guy that was known to never stop smiling. He was handsome and kind and always treated me with tenderness and care. He was my first love. I met him one night at a friends party and ever since then 2 years ago we were rarely apart . The day I found out was when I was with his mother waiting for him at the airport. I was so excitited to see him. He was gone for about 4 months. Slowly everyone came out but I didn't see my Gavin. I searched and searched till the last man came out. Tears welled into my eyes. The captain came over to Gavin's mother and I.

"I'm so sorry, he didn't make it. He was a great solider and a hero. I'm sorry for you loss."

I brok down and cried for hours. I couldn't even talk I was so shocked. The finial words we said to each other was "I love you babe," knowing that he died fighting for his country was a great honor to know he did his job and that he loved me.

I was now in the car with Gavin's brother Gabe. He was taking me as I was so sad I couldn't drive. My heartached and I wanted Gavin in my arms to hold and be happy with but I know he wasn't comming home.
