"Y/n you really should start getting a job. A new job, your job barely pays you and it's not enough for you to even support yourself!" My mom scolds me.

"Mom, I think this is the easiest job I got and that I can have." I glare at my reflection in the mirror.

"Y/n, seriously. Be motivated. You're like a lazy couch potato doing nothing with your life."

"Fine. I'll find a job. A new one." I roll my eyes.

"You better. I'm watching you on Life360 just to check."

"Yeah okay mom. Bye." I hang up and sit on the couch. "How am I supposed to find a job?"

I go to Google on my phone and look up, 'Ways to find jobs'.

'You should explore outside and walk around stores. Maybe they're hiring for workers. If you're lucky though. Just take walks outside and find something that interests you.'

"Walks? Outside...? So much work to do..." I put on my coat effortlessly and closed my apartment door behind me. I walk down the hall to the elevator and push Level 1.

"Wait, wait!" A girl runs towards me. She jumped into the elevator and smiled. "Thanks." She says breathless.

"No problem." I look away from her. I could see she was glancing here and there at me. I was too but it doesn't mean anything.

We arrived to the first floor and walked our separate ways. I look by my side and see hair cut stores, grocery stores, Korean bbq places, restaurants, movie theaters, etc. "God I just want an easy job.." I sigh.

I cross the road and look up at the tall building. "Who has time to work at this building?" I scoff. I look by my side and see a water fountain, and this very wide and empty space. I saw the same papers on the streets. "So much trash..this is ghetto." I look away and turn the other way to avoid such a ghetto place. I bump into this small mascot. The mascot was a squirrel and they fell down onto their butts. "My bad." I help them up. I look at their chest and saw two bulges. A girl.

The girl laughs, "Are you looking at my chest?"

I shake my head, "What? No. I was spacing out."

"Good. Nobody likes perverts. Here, take this paper." She shoves me a paper, it was the same papers I saw on the ground. She's the one who trashed the floor?

I saw in bold words, 'HIRING MASCOTS'. Mascots? Like her?

"Mascots?" I say dumbfounded.

"Like me! You should join in too!" Why is she so bubbly?

"Why would I, that makes a fool of myself." I roll my eyes.

"I see you're looking for a job. I've been observing you."

"Stalker." I back away.

"I'm not a stalker!! I just saw you. You caught my eye and my boss needs more workers." I could hear her pout under the mask.

"Aren't you sweating under that thing?" I wouldn't sweat for a job. That is ridiculous.

"No, I just put this on." She shrugs

"So what if I do become a mascot with you? What's the payment?"

"Oh you get 10 bucks an hour and if you successfully make more people come to the place we're working for, it is extra." My eyes widen.

"How come it's so easy? This job..?" I mutter.

"C'mon, it is fun!" She shoves my shoulder. I glare down at her. "Oh my bad.." She giggles.

"I'll think about it." I walk away from her. I could sense her still stare at me walking away. Creep. She has been 'observing' me all this time. Plus this place is super ghetto, not sure if I wanna be jumped..
