Death Flag Waving Unsteadily

"Lady Elita! This has gone far enough!"

The handsome fairytale crowned prince, and heir to the throne of the Sunbriar Kingdom, shouted at me as he waved his hand dramatically to cease all chaos and negativity in the school's grandiose, gathering hall. Plenty of spectators, each with a significant noble status, flocked to the controversial epic scene that was unfolding before them.

A cowering pink-haired girl with red eyes filled to the brim with glistening tears clung to the prince's shirt, hiding behind my soon-to-be ex-fiancee, Prince Julian Sunbriar.

That's right. This is that climax event.

"You have gone too far this time, Lady Cygnett," said the stoic-cool personality type of the Prince's aide, Desmond Riverty, as he approached from the side. "We have gathered enough evidence that exposed you to be the mastermind of all the harassment and bullying against Miss Olivia."

That's not true. Olivia orchestrated all those events.

Instead of denying, I crossed my arms and asked, "How so? Please, do explain to me my so-called crimes against her."

"Don't play the fool, Lady Cygnett, we've heard from the witnesses of your vile actions against Miss Olivia," the dastardly, hotheaded, knight and bodyguard of Prince Julian proclaimed--Mattias Claymore--aloud as he went on with his supporting 'evidence'. "You were the one who threw her books to the fountain's water! You were also the one that set her room on fire a month ago, and nearly killed her!"

"Y... you were also the one that pushed her down the stairs!" A cuter, and a year-younger version of Julian but with brunette hair rather blond, accused me so. He was the second prince and brother of Julian, Prince August.

"What's more, you encouraged all the ladies with you to harass Miss Olivia to no end!" Julian further accused me of such things. "Don't even deny it, Elita. Time to stop these charades."

My, my, my, all four targets are really hammering down on me, and I swear to the Pantheon, I could see that little bitch smiling and sticking her tongue at me...like that *Bitch* Malty.

For a while, I remained silent, showing quite the disinterest in this unfolding event. I suppose no matter what I could have done and not done, my life would be played out like this. Even though I had one year in advance to make sure I wouldn't fall into my ruin, Miss Olivia--the good heroine--still ended up becoming the victim, and I, the Villainess of an Otome game.

Taking a deep breath and out, I faced my death flag.

Like hell, I'm going down without a fight.

I clapped my hands with finesse of finale. "You know what? You're right! Let's end all these charades. So! Tell me the evidence."

"What?" Julian seemed taken back as if I was joking, and already I see Miss Heroine pouting.

"Tell me the evidence!" I repeated. "Why don't you show me tangible evidence that proved I was the mastermind of all the bullying and harassment against her?"
