This story starts off with a boy, born and raised in the country of Colombia. Who had nothing to his name or so he thought. Birthed by a mother who was only a teenager, and raised by his hardworking grandparents, this young boy knew nothing but the life he was given. He had an older brother, who thought with not his brain but with his heart. These two young boys grew to only have each other as you'll soon see in this story. Let's not get too ahead of ourselves yet, after all, this story is just beginning.
Mom had a tendency to do the opposite of what people told her to do. She was born a bit rebellious, which is slightly odd for a young woman brought up with such religious values. She had lots of sisters, who learned to look after one another and care for each other. She had hardworking parents and overall her life was swell. She was young, beautiful and life was promising. Then, she met this man, older than her by many years, and birthed his children. She thought she found the one and they would settle in a house or a farm somewhere in the mountains. Young and also very naive, her sisters laughed at her for having such dreams.
"Men don't stay with women in this country and they don't care if you have their kids" her sister would say, "Grow up and learn to fend for yourself, that man won't take care of you he's not your father". She didn't want to believe what she was hearing, until it turned out to be true. He walked out on her and left her with two boys to raise. Weeks went by, then months, then years, and not a word from the father of her two children. So, she believed it was best to move on from that heartbreak, but still got her heartbroken time and time again. Youth and beauty only last for so long. Mom remained young for eternity, as her life was brought to a halt at the age of 23. To this day, no one knows why or how. Mom, I'll always remember you the way you were and thank you for bringing me into this world, not knowing what life had in mind for you. I learned to live life truthfully and remained humble thanks to you. I lived the life that you'd never imagine and been to places you'll never believe. Thanks for being my angel.
